RMSTATOR AC to DC Ignition Conversion & Upgrade Kit Replacement for Polaris Sportsman 600/700 Carb 2002-2006 | OEM# 4010696/4010901 / 4010709/2202603 / 4011103

My son narrowed down the issue to the CDI. He did his research and landed on this solution. After installation the night the parts arrived, the problem was solved. I understand it is an upgrade and does away with design weakness of the original parts.Now we are riding the ATV and enjoying it.

ATV was very hard to start and interminably would not. Of course when it was needed most. This kit solved all of our problems. After replacing the ignition, started right up after one revolution. Its not done this in a long time. I watched the youtube video on how to install. Installation was very easy. Instead of splicing power wire, i used a solderless wire splice (Blue) connector. The 3 power wires connected together were easily found and with a female spade connector. If done again i would have used a male spade connector for power wire. I mounted box to cross bar and coil to existing hole (top) and drilled a new one for other side (bottom side) and used self tapping screw after drilling pilot hole. Watch out for gas tank right behind metal mounting plate when drilling and installing screw.

It was easy to put in and work like it should .. it is back up and running after 3 year down I miss my 700 glad to have it back and running ..

Recently purchased a 2003 polaris sportsman twin. No spark, wouldn't start. We replaced stator, plugs, battery and narrowed the problem down to the cdi. After researching this issue, found a recommendation for the RMSTATOR upgrade kit. ( converts AC to DC) It's basically plug and play, instructions are found on you tube. This kit is seriously fantastic! Polaris upgrade costs over $800. It works flawlessly! Now our sportsman has the "giddy up" to rip it up!!

I installed the RMSTATOR ign. system on my Sportsman 700 a few weeks ago and it seems to be working great. The quad starts better and runs better than it ever did. I use the quad every day, but will have to run it more to give it the full 5 stars.

Pretty simple install, machine runs fine now. Factory fix was over priced and requires a lot more work to perform.

Good day I hope you are well and God has shined his blessings upon you. I am a self employed small engine atv/motorcycle repairman with over 20 years experience. Over the years i have ran into many obstacles that can make a normal repair into a mind numbing stretch of resent that just leaves me in aww. Unfortunately this is precisely the case. In August of 2015 I purchased an excellent running 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 twin from an older gentleman who purchased it brand new. The machine ran perfect with only 632 miles because he was a physician who rarely used it. I knew the history of the machines ignition system and and knew that besides that it was a great running reliable atv. Upon purchasing the vehicle I ordered the RMSTATOR kit RM22957(249.00) as a precautionary and installed because of there reputation as a stone dedicated company to there customers and product. (Again this was already a perfect running atv before installation.) The atv ran great. No issues i was highly impressed and it seemed to run smoother than it already did. Then came January 5, 2016. My son and i where out on a public trail and about 20 mins in the atv jerked about two times and lost power. We pushed to side and i tried to recrank it and it just turns over time and time again but no spark. So me being the tooly i check all the common causes that i can on the spot. Lights on good, battery 14.8 volts good, grounds good, connectors good so finally to no avail i have to get the vehicle towed back to my truck in shame. At home i checked spark plug wires and they where fine and i begin to think could it be the upgrade CDI/Coil? I went to the web site where i found the specs for the upgrade and ran them the coil tested 0.7 ohms + to - which is lower than the 0.9 you state and upon checking the between the wires to caps lead it tested 0 ohms no reading means theres a break somewhere internally. In other words that coil is bad. So upon these findings i immediately contacted customer service and sent the entire kit back (2-4-2016 RMA#34847). On 2-17-2016 customer service contacts me and to my disbelief they tell me the parts test good. I’m confused at this point but still pay the expedited service to have it shipped back. I reinstall and start the inevitable task of troubleshooting the entire ignition system. I replace single pick-up coil (25.00) no crank, new spark plug wires and caps from polaris (35.00 a piece) no crank, voltage regulator (115.00) no crank till finally i purchase an entire new Stator/Pick-up coil assembly from RMSTATOR (159.00 tk#300002552) what you guess NO CRANK. So back to the drawing board and the only thing that comes to mind is the CDI/COIL kit which numbers were out to began with. I recheck those and number continue to read out the power coming to the cdi excellent at 14.5 volts. Trigger coil fires excellent but still no absolutely no power coming out of coil. By this time its the 6 or 7 time i’ve contacted the customer service but rudely and bluntly state there is nothing she can do but send the coil back to be checked. I remind you each time this cost me 6.85. So i do and a week later after i have to get in touch with them she tell me that they where going to replace the entire kit, Thank you after 3 months of going back and forth and spending a small fortune at last some kind of customer service. She tells me to send the remaining part the cdi box and they’ll get a new CDI/Coil kit RM22957 on the way so another 6.85 and its sent. Patiently waiting and it arrives. Today is Saturday April 16, 2016 and I must tell you i am extremely upset, displeased, and frankly in disbelief to tell you that a company who strives itself on customer service and of course “Always keep the customer satisfied” sent me the WRONG ITEM. They sent another stator assembly instead of the CDI/Coil kit that was promised. As you may realize by now i am very disappointed and know this is not the way you want to think a customer is being treated. I simply want a replacement kit RM22957 and let me ride with my son again. For i do not wish this type of service on anyone a VERY DISPLEASED CUSTOMER Travis. Update a knew kit was sent a week later after multiple calls and my atv finally runs again. Even with my 1 year warranty i will never use these parts again. OUTLAND RIDERZ OUT!!!!

I bought this for an 02 Sportsman 700 but ended up just replacing the magneto for 30 bucks instead which fixed my ignition problem completely. However I still gave this kit 5 stars because it works PERFECT for my old Mercury Outboard boat engine. I had to get some schematics from an old mercury service manual. But after I found the distributor trigger wire. It fixed my ignition problem on my boat and without replacing the whole ignition system like the dealer wanted to do for $2,500 with labor!!!!!This only cost me about $260 with shipping. Much better option. Plus now I have modernized an obsolete ignition system with parts that are readily and cheaply available.

Atv was down for a year couldn’t figure out what was wrong with had mechanic look at it he couldn’t figure it out replaced stator and cdi coil box same problem would not start a buddy of mine told me about RM stator and the ignition issues with the 2003- 2004 Polaris’s so I bit the bullet and got the ac to dc kit when I got it installed I turned it over it took a minute to get the gas to the carb but after that it started right up no issues at all!!! Couldn’t believe it took it for a ride and works amazing again thank you to RM stator for this kit definitely worth the money

I put this on 2002 700 sportsman and it made the atv run like new. Bike ran before I installed this but it was pain to start and keep running. After installing this the atv started right up first crack with no choke in -15c.Highly recommended. Was a very easy install.

It was very easy to install the you tube video explained it all. worked fantastic fired right up after install.

Installed the rmstator ac DC conversion kit on my 2002 polaris 700. I was having a no spark issue that I could not diagnose. This kit fixed that immediately and the quad starts better now than it ever did before. I fully recommend.
