It contains 12 pounds of efficient, long-lasting D.E. filter powder. Just measure out the correct amount, pour, and enjoy cleaner, clearer pool water. Include two 6 pound charges. Use 3 pounds of D.E. per 20 square feet of filter area. Always follow your filter companies instructions. 1. Find the capacity (area of your filter equipment. (This figure usually appears on the outside of the filter housing, listed in square feet.) 2. Use 3 pounds of D.E. per 20 square feet of filter area. To extend filter cycles for pools up to 20,000 gallon capacity, add one full cup of D.E. to the filter inlet each morning and afternoon. Initially, you may experience shorter cycles as you clean unfiltered water or after heavy pool usage. Generally, this indicates the filter aid is working efficiently. Clean the filter as required and enjoy clean, clear swimming pool water.

Good product and I like that there are individual bags. Makes it easy to grab a bag and not have to measure or scoop it out to use.

Tear open bag, dump in skimmer. No carrying a box around or having to measure anything out. Works perfect.

Works great. Yes - some gets in the box. Yes - the bags may rip a bit easier than I'd like when dispensing it in the skimmer. That said, this is a million times easier than measuring and scooping out of the big box. For how often we cycle the DE, all that time saved really adds up, and makes this product worth it.

The box contains smaller 'exact amount individual portions'in so you don't have to measure it out exposing yourself to airborn particles. You still wear a mask though. Box has handles and is easier to carry. Good quality.

I don't mind caring for my own pool but backwash and replacing DE powder is a pain and messy. This 24 lbs box is divided into 4/6 lbs bags of DE and is crazy convenient. Simply backwash your filter and then pour one whole bag into the skimmer. Easy and little mess. Super convenient and will order again.

Great product that I'll be sticking with. Ever since Leslie's changed their DE formulation my filter hasn't backwashed fully, requiring me to break down the filter and clean the screens with a hose, and even then it would be clogged within a week. This DE backwashes perfectly and doesn't clog up so it's cut my maintenance down significantly. The pre-packaged sizes are also very helpful. Just remember not to breathe in DE.

seems like a good quality DE. we change the earth more often with this simply due to the price. the quality seems to be the same as other DE manufacturers/suppliers. I would purchase this again
