Great piece of hardware. Install was fairly easy for a newbie. Came with two rather than one like I thought so that was a huge plus.Used to build a desk for my son with a draft table top that could be adjusted.

For a long time I have wanted to biuld my own art table. When I saw this hardware I decided to go for it and I am glad I did. The hardware is great, and functions as designed. Easy to intstall assuming you have some basic woodworking skills. My only gripe is the istructions say to mount 12 3/4 from the center of the piano hinge to get a range of 0-50 degrees; however I found that at that measurement you would get a 0-80 degree angle adjustment. Since you have to pull the table top to its highest adjustment before it lets you go back down, then it makes it a bit inconvenient. I ended up re-mounting at 14 3/4 of an inch, which gives me more of a 0-60 degree angle which is more managable. So be prepared to make adjustments when mounting or try pre-drilling multiple holes for easy adjustments when re-mounting. Over all I am happy with the product, with it I was able to biuld the art table I always wanted.

These were used to create an articulating desk top out of a bunk bed in my RV. The metal is solid and substantial. The action works prefectly like it should. Rockler makes the best quality furniture hardware I have ever found. I have some 8 year old rockler casters on a metal dog crate that still roll and lock like new with no rusting.

I adapted the hardware for a different use, but it is working out well. The supports are very sturdy and are able to hold the adjustments without any slippage as I do apply some force to my projects. The pressure applied by drafting or drawing is much less than my purposes and I know anyone would be pleased with the range of adjustments available. I use mine nearly every day.

The Adjustable Drafting Table Hardware works as claimed by Rockler.I did not give the item 5 stars because the installation instructions are not accurate.Made a box 2" deep. Located screws holes exactly as indicated on the instruction sheet.After installing, I had to relocate the screw hole ½-inch to get the top to lay flat.There are no manual adjustments to the hardware after installation.
