Just got this and first off mine came as a Boss labeled not the Roland. That made me very happy because I didn't have to add the stickers that came with the Katana for labeling pedal switch as compared to Roland switches. Plus is got Boss labeled on so it goes with my amp. It includes a nice long enough cable to plug into amp. This pedal is a must if you really want to get the most out of the Katana 100 and up. Works great for switching presets in the channels. It allows you to switch on and off the effects you have in your patch. The quality of the pedal seems very well made it metal with clickless switches. And to add you can use the tap to change up your delay on the fly. You can use it to jump from each of your 4 channels presets then individually switch the effect on and off. So you can run something like a booster then delay then flanger while having it on multiple of gain options, then having control of each. And if you want to fiddle with your knobs on the amp itself you just click panel on the pedal. If you have a Katana plugged in a pc then you can go even further and get more out of you pedal, tones, presets. I very highly recommend this if you have a Boos katana.

This is a definite must have for the best use of your boss katana amps 100w and above . I have several because I have multiple amps . It comes with the proper tps cable and is the perfect accompaniment for the boss katana amps . Definitely recommend it...

Small footprint is great. I use it for the Boss Katana so it required stickers that come with the amp to re-label the buttons. The lights could be brighter though.The Katana is an amazingly well designed amp. Rather than focusing on "bells and whistles" (it could use a few more of those, actually) they built an amp that sounds GREAT in the "real world." I put it in quotes for the benefit of amp manufacturers, many of whom do not live there, but instead build amps to sound good in music stores, which are far, far away from the "real world."But I am reminded of Katana's greatest shortcoming every time I look at the GA-FC. The amp has so much more under the hood than can be accessed by this very basic little pedal. I bought the pedal because it gives me quick access to the four preset channels (called LiveSets by Boss, and disregard the panel settings) and the panel, which does represent panel settings. Tap a button and you can then turn effects on and off within each of the 5 preset options. So it does a lot, for what it is.You can create presets from the panel, but to really tweak them requires a computer and USB cable. Nothing for IOS or Android as far as I know, and I don't see it coming unless someone comes up with a hack.Conclusion - they do a LOT with a bare bones GA-FC pedal, and it is essential for Katana owners who take the amp out and plan to use the amp's channels. But you would do fine with the panel setting and your own effects pedals.

If you have a Boss Katana 100, Artist, or Head this is a must have for live performance. It's expensive but they have you over a barrel just like Blackstar and Marshall do if you want their enhanced footswitches.Simple to use and built like a tank, this will make your Katana much more flexible for live use. If you use yours live and use the built in effects, you really should get this.

Cuando recién compré mi Katana 100 hace 3 años me pareció un fraude que te vendieran aparte y a este precio el footswitch. Pero me animé a investigar bien y me di cuenta que no es el simple footswitch que viene con cualquier ampli. El chiste de comprarte este controlador es sustituir una pedalera multiefectos si necesitas poder acceder a varios bancos de memoria y efectos al tocar en vivo, y si le añades el GA-FC EX y aparte un pedal de expresión ya tienes el setup perfecto, siempre y cuando configures cuidadosamente el ampli. Me encantan los pedales y poder moldear mi sonido pero mejor los guardo para el estudio, si toco en vivo quiero lo más práctico y versátil en vez de llevar una mega pedalera estorbosa, y si bien los multiefectos son para esto, este footswitch cuesta una fracción del precio.

I have the original MKI and this works great. Plug the thing in and we are good to go. Works great with the software on the computer as well. A must have if you own a Boss Katana MKI or MKII.
