I like the adjustment rings that allow you to roll out your dough to the thickness you want. The color rings have clearly labeled measurements for easy selection. The rolling pin worked great at rolling out dough, not to heavy, perfect weight. I found it easy to use and clean. Feel is smooth for keeping dough smooth which helps the baking ability of your cookies to turn out nice and smooth.

Husband thinks I'm just getting better at making pie crusts with age. Nope, I'm still awful... The fact that this set makes me look like a superstar just makes me love it even more. (Now if it could only bring me some skill to finish those frilly pastry edges....)My new set replaced a cracked, rigid plastic rollout mat that would shift & slide all over the counter when I tried to roll out dough on it. (I could not wait to throw that thing away!) This one is pliable enough to loosely roll into a tube. It has a slightly "grippy" back surface texture to prevent skidding, but not so much that it's tough to clean. This pastry mat is well marked for measuring surface area, and it's smooth to make kneading dough a much easier task. Additionally, very little dough is required when working it on this mat's surface (so perhaps this means my pie crusts *are* actually improving...?).Additionally, this set includes a stainless steel rolling pin with screw-on ends. Its surface well marked with measurements, the pin also comes with discs that are held in place by the ends. These ensure you'll reach whatever dough thickness you want to achieve. The disc sizes are 3/8", 1/2", 1/4", and 1/8" (for those outside US, that's 10mm, 6mm, 4mm & 2mm).This is a wonderful addition to your kitchen gear, and would make a lovely gift as well for a newlywed or to a young person's first apartment set-up.

The is a fantastic roller. The one issue I have is there is quite a gap between the largest size adjuster and the next-largest.

My niece brought her roller over to make Christmas cookie. That is all it took for me to buy one. It was so easy to use. The quality is stainless steel, the only thing I buy for the kitchen if it has to be metal. The weight, design, and comfort of rolling out cookie made it easy. I thought I would have a problem switching to this roller, from my standard, but it was a breeze. I could not believe how easy it rolled on my counter. I think my old stand bye will be going bye-bye. According to my neice it was a great gift from her sister.

I am not quite sure why I hesitated so long before purchasing this rolling pin. After using it a lot for baking multiple varieties of cookies I can confidently say that it has made a huge difference. My cookies were a breeze to roll and maintained an even thickness.I also appreciated the ease of adjusting the thicknesses simply by unscrewing and adding the applicable disk. Clean up is a breeze, just some warm soapy water and it’s done!The added bonus is the pastry mat! It is a great size, seems well made and is not too flimsy. Overall this is a great purchase.

I used this to roll out my dough to make croissants, it has made life much easier in ensuring even thickness when laminating the dough.

I ordered this for a friend and considering the amount of baking he has been doing recently, he is very satisfied with it. The rolling pin is totally non-stick, the dough does not stick to it in the least and the various rings make it very easy to roll the dough out to the thickness you need. I can't imagine a better rolling pin. And the mat is silicon and works beautifully. Nothing at all to complain about, and everything to recommend.

I was using a standard rolling pin and wooden slats of different thickness that the pin would ride on. This worked ok but my pin was only 10 inches so this was difficult. This new pin in wider and has the thickness measuring on the ends so I get the full pin width for my pastry.......great.
