It’s not solid wood, but it says that right in the description! It looks great and was easy to install. Slow close works great and I am very happy with it. It was exactly as I expected.

The seat has a decent finish, not one to rub off or get damaged easily. The hinges are high quality and even though I've only had it for a year or so it still opens and closes nicely and the hinges have no wear or looseness about them. I would buy this one or another from the same company if and when needed.

A little tricky to install correctly. Correctly being the operative word. I think many of these toilet seats are not installed correctly, then people complain that they don't look right or function correctly. You have to be smarter than the toilet seat.I've had mine about two weeks. It looks great, it functions great. It fits great! I like the slow close feature. It fits my round toilet perfectly, but of course, I had to adjust it but you would have to do that with any toilet seat you purchased.I do not know how long it will last. That is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. i will keep you posted on the durability of said toilet seat. But so far, I really like it. Some people might find the YouTube video helpful. Recommend.

The wood toilet seat is very attractive. It also has a slow close so it doesn't slam down. Another feature is that it can be adjusted to fit short and long toilets.

The product is poorly engineered. Like another customer reported the seat will not stay up. This occurs with toilets that have a top that protrudes a bit forward from the tank. I have two American Standard toilets and have never had this problem before. I even took a level to them and they are dead-on level. As well, I used the rear screw holes so that's not the issue. They needed to engineer the product so that the hinges protrude more forward from the mountings so that the seat tilts back a bit when in an upright position. I thought of possibly putting rubber shims under the mounts but I'm tired of coming up with hacks to compensate for poor Chinese design. Returning.

Really nice toilet seat. Wood and finish is beautiful however, a little hard on the butt (and not in a good way) if sitting for long periods of time. Only other thing I have is the top doesn't stay up when peeing...I have to hold it up in order not to splash urine all over it. -- I do have a fairly steady and straight stream but sometimes not so good so it would be nice if it "stayed up" (pun intended). I "could" sit down when peeing but that's not "manly", so I guess I'll just have to deal with it. YMMV

While the mildly fractured Directions for installing the seat could use a little touching up, English being not their first language. You can get the hang (no pun intended) of it by looking at the helpful diagram.The mounting hardware appears to be robust and hopefully won’t tarnish or rust too soon.Being a maie, watching the seat and lid softly close is kind of fascinating, you can surmise that I’m easily amused!Checkout their YouTube video, very helpful!This company appears to stand by their products!

When I first got this product, I opened it up outside and it was sunny. I thought it looked kind of plastic but it seemed to be sturdy enough. It is getting closer to 2 years now so I have been able to test this thoroughly and examine its features closely. First, it is solid. Nothing has weakened or changed from day one. Next, although it looked plastic in direct sunlight, In the bathroom it looks very real even with some natural light from the outside (screened through frosted windows). Functionally, it is great. The seat just pops off as it is held on with just loaded ball bearings. Super easy to clean in the bathtub. With the seat off, the toilet is super easy to clean too. I have a high speed, low volume toilet. My toilet is prone to splashing some water and over time it accumulates and looks disgusting. I can clean everything up in a flash and very thoroughly as the toilet seat isn't in the way and put it back together just as easy. I think that after experiencing it for a long period o time, I can give it an honest 5 star rating.

I like it overall. I read another review on here that said you have to be smarter than the toilet seat. I'd agree with this sentiment. They call it a "quick release" hinge, when it's really a couple of screws on each side with an allen key that you have to tighten very securely to ensure the seat is secured, otherwise the seat pulls right out. It's not easy to get at these little screws to tighten or untighten so "quick release" doesn't really make sense.The nuts to hold the hinges on also have to be tightened very tight so it stays in place or the hinges may rotate and the seat will slide around. Once I had it all secured tightly, the seat was rigid and looks alright. Soft close works nicely.
