If you can't find the size you want on this template then something is wrong. Considering how you can use any two bushings 1/4" different in size to reduce the resulting bowtie size, this template probably provides 100 different sizes!

This is a handy template collection. As tools go, it is one of those items that you don’t realize how handy it is until you use it. Construction, satisfactory, durability untested, and concept outstanding. Good item to have in any shop.

I use this for marking out the area I want to remove on tree ring/slabs to repair cracks before I epoxy stuff.I use this with a bushing on the router to remove the majority of the material then finish off with chisel clean up to the line. Then use the template to markup a block off wood to cut the butterfly itself. I am happy with this template and it gave me more sizes to use 13 than other for sale for same amount of money of more! So this was the better deal.It is well built for 1/4inch acrylic and well marked and has 13 sized butterflies to use to meet most any need.

This .25-inch clear acrylic butterfly/bowtie router jig is very durable and does not appear that it will crack easily. The jig includes a good assortment of inlay sizes varying from small to large, all while maintaining the same bowtie/butterfly pattern. Do take note that in order to use this template it is necessary that you use a top-guide router bit.

Cheap, waste of money. A cheap piece of plastic from overseas. For $20 I expected a lot better. The circles were not perfectly circular. And each of the circle cutouts had a rough burr from manufacturing at one point in the wall of the circle. If you used this as a router template or even to draw with a pen or pencil, each non-perfect circle would also have a jagged spot. Just incredibly cheap, it's sad what's available out there.

My wife asked me if I could cut her 15 exactly same size circles. She is working on a project with some of the young women in our neighborhood. She didn't really care about the size, but they all needed to be exactly the same. I wasn't sure how I was going to do this to get them just like she wanted. I saw this template on Amazon and thought it might be the answer to this project. When I received it, I used it to cut out the largest size, which is 3 1/2" in diameter. She wanted them about 3/4" thick so I used some Alder I had around.I used my smallest plunge router. Once I made the initial plunge through the Alder, I set the template edge right next to the router bit and routed all the way around, keeping the bearing right up against the template. What I got was a perfectly round piece of Alder. I made the next 19. Yes, 19 because I messed up on a couple of them. It's this template that enable me to make these perfectly routed circles though. The template is 1/4" thick acrylic and feels nice and solid. There is no flex in it whatsoever. It's very sturdy. My photos show the sizes of the circles engraved into the template to identify their size. If needing a high quality template for making circles, this may be it.

Good quality and being clear is easy to align. Takes a bit of fiddling around to figure out sizes. Make sure you use the same template for the female as the male piece.

Though the template acrylic is thick, it certainly isn’t durable. Template damage is going to happen. You can fix small errors via glue fills and filing. I recommend using this template only to make working templates from MDF. I’ve used the template twice now, each time damaging a circle cutout in the acrylic. Disappointed.
