I've literally tried all the different OEM controllers out there (there are only about 4-5 unique PID controllers out there, probably from the same manufacturer in Taiwan/China).This one has been by far the best, for my 600D. While the ramp up rate is a bit slower than others, and there is usually an overshoot initially (also reported by others), after 5-10 minutes, it stabilizes and runs like a champ. The WiFi capability is also very very nice to have! Because of this, I've retired my wifi thermometer. With 3 probes, this thing is perfect. I've had 3 turkey breasts in smoking at the same time, and was independently monitoring each since there can be hot spots, etc... and they came out perfectly (thanks to being able to stagger the cooking times).Temperature range is great and goes down as low as 160F.Some caveats:The software appears wonky, but it works (I'm on Android). Pairing is fast, and monitoring works good. The only thing to watch out for: ITS ON CELSIUS BY DEFAULT! Once installed, if you prefer F, just change a setting in the app and you're there. This slipped by me on my first use, and I ended up making some charcoal out of chicken LOL.The PID seems quick to react on temp changes, so keep an eye on your pellet supply. Rather than riding the temperature peaks and valleys in a more relaxed fashion like some of the other controllers I've tried, this one goes for more precision at a cost of higher fuel use.

I was skeptical but it turned out amazing. Wire colors were all the same simply plug and play. The WiFi and Bluetooth part of this is very clean and works great as well. I can grill in the cold now without having to stand and monitor food temps. The thermostat is also very accurate to the grill thermometer. 9/10 for sure

Doesn’t hit target temps. App is no good if you aren’t connected to the network or Bluetooth. It’s really slow at increasing the temp. I set it to 500 (knowing it should hit 450), after half an hour, barely rises to 340 degrees. Installed it on a brand new Traeger Pro 34. Factory controller worked flawless but wanted WiFi control/ and temperature display.Seller was really responsive and supplied a manual written in broken English. There is no way to adjust PID or Prime settings.

Worth the money. You can start the fire remotely, very useful on early morning when it's cold and dark.Pros:Temperature can be set at 1 degree incrementThe external probe input is definitely a plus, sensor is very cheapTemperature regulation is about +/- 5 degreesLow costWifi and BluetoothCons:Time out when Temperature setting is not reached. You can just restart. The app has limited functionality. Need to login everything the app is closed. The trend for main Temperature is not available, only available for external sensorSometimes the app Temperature display is not the same as the controller

This controller is great, but the app is severely lacking in features and UI.With an upgraded 2RPM motor this thing gets to and holds temps up to 450° in my OG Traeger Lil' Tex. I ordered a couple.sets of probes so I have a spare. I love having multiple probes for when I've got ribs, and Chicken going at the same time, or just to check both ends of a rack of ribs.Checking with two other thermometers it reads just as accurate.Installation was easy, but the display unit is too close to the top edge so you will need to file or fring the top of the opening about 1/8" to get it to fit in older Traeger grills at least.I also added a foam gasket around the edge of the back to help keep rain from running down between the controller and the pellet box.I just wish someone would build a decent android app for it that had an alarm when the meat probes reach set temps and would allow recipes based on reaching certain temperatures instead of just cook times.

My pellet smoker is a Pit Boss PB700FBW2. The Wi-Fi controller is not a direct replacement. I had to modify the sheet metal to fit it properly. The wire connections are a direct fit, but the Wi-Fi controller does not have a direct connector for the thermometer. To connect the thermometer, I had to wire it manually without using the original connector. The controller maintains the set temperature well and performs reliably at 400°F. I can remotely turn on the smoker when within Bluetooth range, but not beyond it. However, once the smoker is connected and the fire is lit, I can monitor its status via Wi-Fi even when outside of Bluetooth range.

The switch to set the temperature is junk. Sending it back to get a different controller from Pit Boss.

Works like a champ! Had the ERR error on my Pit Boss. Installed new one and smoker is back to life. Had to cut off the old one and install the new one beside it since mounting of old unit was fused to the smoker. You need to research YouTube for installation instructions. In my case i needed to drill 3 new holes for the mount and cable. You can avoid if you can get the old screws to release. You gotta get right inside the machine and get at the electronics remove the old cable from the circuit board, cut the zip ties that tie up the excess cabling etc. etc. so it’s a bit of work

Nothing to dislike. It was completely plug and play, took about 10 min to change and my smoker had never worked this good right from brand new
