This is a very stylish carafe for being plastic. I like the dual spout. One is just a straight pour and the other is intended to keep solids such as fruit from coming out. It holds exactly 2 quarts for anyone measuring Crystal Light or similar products. There’s no room to stir. However, the lid seals tight enough to shake it. Be careful though. This carafe gets quite slippery and hard to hold if the outside is wet. I’m not sure what the other reviewers meant by the lid being hard to take off and put back on. It pops right off when you place your palm on top and curl your fingers underneath the lip and pull?! Almost like peeling back the lid of a can. It goes back on like any other tight fitting plastic lid. You put pressure on one side of the lid and push down all around it until it pops. Very easy. I have serious arthritis in my hands. If I can do it, most anyone can do it. I highly recommend this carafe!

I purchased several different containers before this one. I was looking for a leak-proof contain. This is the one. It is very good - no leaks. Unlike other reviews, I did not find it hard to get the top on or off. It does take a little effort to get it on, but not much. Open one of the pour spouts, and push down on the top going around the entire perimeter of the top. Also, it is tall, but fits just find in my refrigerator. I have a freezer-on-the-top refrigerator and have a large top shelf in the refrigerator section with ample space for tall containers. This product is well made, and easy to use. I am a petite woman and the narrower middle area of the container is easy to hold to pour out drinks. I searched and looked at the reviews for many other products and this was the one most reviewers said did not leak. The reviews were correct. The price on this one is also good. Thanks, Rubbermaid!

This carafe is perfect for our use. We brew iced tea and needed a carafe that was safe holding boiled water. Bought a second one for my houseplant fertilizer - - - much easier to mix and pour into my potted plants this way.Love it because :- the lid is tight and leak proof so the carafe can be shaken (to dissolve the sugar in the tea) without leaking- the design is pretty, and doesn't look "plastic-y" so it can be left on the table and not look unsightly- it pours smoothly without "glugging" or splashing- one spout has a grid in it to hold back any solids, like ice or fruit- it doesn't have a protruding handle or spout, so it takes up less space in the refrigeratorConsider these things though:- it's tall . . . 11.5 inches high. It fits on my refrigerator shelf, but even if it didn't, its 5" diameter will probably fit in one of your door shelves.- the lid snaps on/off very tightly. This is a good thing because it ensures it's leakproof. *** when taking the lid off, first open one of the pour spouts. This releases some of the pressure and makes it much easier to remove.- if you have small hands (or children), realize this carafe does not have a handle. The waist section where you hold onto, is roughly 3" diameter (10" circumference). I have no problem with this, but my mother (who is very tiny), and my 11 yr old niece, both have to use two hands to comfortably hold and pour.

Love this carafe. I use it for hot brewed iced tea. I steep the tea in a pyrex measuring cup and then pour it in this carafe,add sugar and water. I can seal it and shake it to stir up the sugar and it doesn't leak! I hold the 2 spout covers and lid with one hand, and the bottom with my other hand and shake it over the sink. No leaking so far. Also love the shape, I can easily fit my large hand in with the sponge to clean it. I have not tried the dishwasher yet and it is too tall for top rack. It feels a little thin for bottom rack but it indicates that it is dishwasher safe. This carafe is easy to pour and handle from its hourglass like shape. I love that it is plastic so I don't have to worry about breaking it. Also it has a 2liter Mark on it which helps with measurement. It doesn't take up much space in the fridge either. I have nit found it difficult to open. The lid and spouts are tight to prevent leaking but are not hard to open for me.

Perfect pitcher to make brewed iced tea. Lightweight, easy to hold shape, dripless pouring for with or without ice. Fits in my LG refrigerator door shelf.

The good: they do NOT leak. The unfortunate: if stored with the lid on (even though it is cracked open), there is a light plastic smell. Discussion: I use four of these carafe's to transport refrigerated tea in the car. Even though they may tip over in transit, my bag is still dry. This is terrific! The shape of the carafe is not round - it's slightly oblong. This makes it much easier to hold - especially when full. The pinched middle is appreciated for the same reason. I like that it is dishwasher proof, because that means I can put hot tea in it while the tea brews (a hybrid sun tea started with canning jars in the microwave). While I prefer glass for food/beverage storage, I really appreciate the very light weight and, compared to glass, the unbreakable nature of this plastic. The carafe is crystal clear and has not discolored from use. It pours great without dripping or glugging because both tops can be opened. One of the tops is criss-crossed which would be handy if you had an iced beverage. Now that I store the lids and bottoms separately, there is no odor (residual from the tea or plastic). I predict these will be functional for a long time.

Bought this to hold juice made from frozen cans of concentrated juice. It's the perfect size, holds the full amount of juice and the spout has 2 options. One side is an open hole and the other has a strainer if you were to add ice or fruit into the jug. Fits in the door of my French door fridge and easy to grab with the hour glass shape. Perfect for my family.
