Looks like solid Hardwood but it seems to be composite. Should not matter. Very strong.

Very sturdy. I was going to cut it to make a handle for another tool, but it was so well made I saved it for future use as a commercial broom handle.

Work very well as rollers for moving furniture & heavy equipment. Afterwards you still have extra handles for your brooms.

Good quality and fit standard brooms perfectly! Natural wood colored, very functional sturdy broom stick, easy to just screw it in and get to work on your chores.

These two wooden broomsticks are sticking up out of the ground, holding up my outdoor Christmas tree on one end, inflatable snowman on the other, and nativity scene banner in between the two. My Santa and elf garden stakes are in front of and to the side of my Christmas tree, and everything is being held together with Paracord and duck tape. My lion and lamb statue is on the ground, in front of it all. I got all of that stuff from Amazon, and couldn't have done it without those broomsticks.

It's a pole. It's fine. What is not fine is the packaging it came in. It was in a giant thick cardboard tube sealed off at both ends with thick metal caps that wouldn't budge. The cardboard tube was too thick for scissors as well. I spent 20 minutes stabbing it with a flat-head screwdriver and then sawing away at it with a steak knife, then repeating. I think the ideal tools to open this packaging would be a handsaw (!) or else a utility knife (I could not find mine) - but with a utility knife you'd want to be really careful. The threads on this also are pretty shoddilly carved out with rough edges; I could not get it to totally screw into my Cuban mop head (why I bought it) but got it in far enough to be stable. It's a pole; it's fine; but it was definitely a hassle.

This broomstick is a great value, and nicely made, but an error in description is forcing me to return other items I was going to use with this, This is described as 60 inches ( 6 inches in top description) with diameter of 1.06 inches. I purchased related items anticipating 1.06 inches, but actual diameter is 0.915 (29/32 inch). so the 1" cane tip and related tools will have to be returned to get the 7/8 inch cane tip and proper tools for my application. Also, I ordered two of these at the same time, increasing the quantity to two. The first arrived today in a 61" box (with room enough for 6 or more), the second arrives tomorrow in another 61" box. By the way, this smaller diameter is standard/small for broomsticks, most replacements are 15/16 inch, this is slightly smaller, but would work well for the intended purpose as a broom handle. No point in returning the product because they will not have ones that match their description, so I will adapt, return items, and get the correct size for the same prices, but lose time in my life that could have been avoided by a modicum of competency.

Pretty decent broom handle, I actually use mine for stretching and rehab work. It's quite durable, it has a slight bow to it and is mildly flexible but otherwise it's great.
