Convenient adapter, I use it to plug in my truck for the block heater and battery tender, keeping the load away from the camper.

This adapter is for converting a 30A 120V outlet to a 15A 120V outlet. I have a smallish 3500W generator that has only 2 circuits: a 20A circuit that powers a standard duplex outlet and a 30A circuit (with a TT-30 outlet) that can be used to supply power to a trailer or motor home. The generator can supply a maximum of 2400W through the duplex outlet but it can supply the full 3500W rated output through the 30W TT-30 outlet. This adapter converts the TT-30 outlet to a standard 3-prong 15A outlet, so I can access the full output of the generator using standard heavy-gauge extension cords plugged into both the standard duplex outlet and the outlet of this adapter (for example, a 15A load on the adapter and two smaller loads totaling 14A on the duplex outlet). This makes the generator far more useful to me. The adapter has 12 gauge conductors, which is comfortably big enough for its 15A rated current and short length. It's very sturdily made from rubbery plastic material and it works great. I highly recommend this adapter if you have a generator like mine.

While this has other uses, I use it to add another 120-volt line to my camper. This allows me to run other small appliances and exceed the 30 amps the camper can handle through the power cord.I use a 50-to-30-amp adapter to plug the camper into the 30-amp outlet. From there, I can run a heavy-duty 120-volt cord into the trailer. This makes things so much easier when I am running the AC, the microwave, the big screen, my computer, etc, and I need to use something like my electric skillet. That is just one scenario. It comes in handy so many times.
