This is saving me the expense of installing a shore power outlet at my house for the days when I set up my trailer for a trip. I can test everything and get the refrigerator cold in my driveway. Having a built-in over-current breaker will protect the RV wiring as well as my home's wiring. I tested both the plug and outlet and the connections are tight and secure. The wires are extremely stiff so it would appear that this is made with 12 gauge conductors. This is a high quality essential at a good price for every 30 amp RV owner.

This overload protector is well-made. Its purpose is to safeguard a standard 110-volt, 20-amp circuit from excessive load. Our RV has a 30-amp plug, and there are times when a 30-amp connection isn't available. This device features a standard 110, 20-amp male plug on one end, a 15-amp breaker in the middle, and a female 110, 30-amp plug on the other end. This ensures that the RV won't overload a 20-amp circuit it may be connected to. It seems to be constructed well with thick, durable rubber. I am pleased to have it for our travels.

….but will it work? We are actually waiting on an electrician to install a 30amp outdoor service, and I will ask him if this would work properly for occasional use.It would be nice if we could use this to maintain our trailer batteries, but I just don’t know enough about electric circuitry to risk trying.It looks very, very stout, extremely well built, but no instructions whatsoever

Very sturdy cord that plugged into both my generator 15/20 amp outlet and my 30 amp RV cord.Not sure if I could fully test this circuit breaker unless I could push it past its limit which might be hard to do if this device usually only plugs into a 15/20 amp outlet.It functioned well powering my RV from my generator.I will hope that it works if needed to protect my RV.
