I just recently put this on to replace my sun weathered outlet cover. The holes matched up perfectly to my old ones. I did not replace the outlet itself.

Our 20 minute job took about an hour because the opening in the cover plate was too narrow on the long end to fit the included receptacle. Figured out I had to use a file to file that down in order for it to fit properly. Not good, especially for an included receptacle. Had purchased another outdoor cover without a receptacle, and the plug did fit in that one when tested. The cover on this product seemed to have a more resistance and tighter on the cover when closed. Since this went on the outside of the camper subject to wind resistance, I thought I'd stick with this cover instead of returning it. I did tape the electrical connections during installation as well as using silicone over the provided cushion when installed.
