I have a shop full of Ryobi tools that all run with the same 18v battery this isn’t one of them. The battery powered version is much more expensive. Maybe the convenience of batteries for every power hand tool Is something a true craftsman requires, but I’m just a hobbyist who must answer to his wife so this is a good value. The sandpaper discs stick to the platform like Velcro and are quite convenient

I burned through two Skil belt sanders and one off-brand. I thought I'd try this Ryobi. So far, so good. It seems tough. It's got the power I need to sand resin. I bought the protection plan that lasts for four years. I have had it about four months now and am pleased with the tool. It's easy to change the belts. It feels good in your hands. The dust catcher actually seems to work! It arrived looking like new. No complaints.

I purchased this with the intent of using it to sand the deck that I built last summer in preparation for staining and sealing it. Even though I haven't gotten to that project, I have used the sander while finishing a set of night stands that I am building. So far, I am very impressed with it. It is lightweight yet powerful and seems like a sturdy product. It has handled all the tasks I have used it for with ease and I am anxious to see how it handles the more rigorous task of sanding our deck.

Fantastic Price for a very good tool. I've used Ryobi whenever possible and this is more proof of their quality. It gets the job done and is pretty rugged.

I bought this belt sander to refinish the quarter panels of my Jeep Liberty. Fiberglass and a power sand and a layer of flat black and she passed inspection with flying colors (just need a little front end work)

Found that there was a defect and this seller wouldn’t honor their return policy. They said they did a full inspection but it’s obvious they didn’t and instead put blame on the customer for its defect.
