I was really impressed with this little corner cat. I had the old one that was still wired back from when Ryobi's color scheme was Blue and red. It works as well as that one, and without the annoying cable. Refurbished things have never been a problem for me. I actually seek them out sometimes. Woodworking is only a hobby for me and I am not a professional, but it works well for what I use it for. No complaints. Would recommend to a friend.

Not near as good as the 1st moose sander Ryobi released. Pad that holds paper is not secure enough.

I bought a new Ryobi CAT sander which quit working after only a few hours, so I purchased a "Renewed" one to save money, and sure enough, it also died after a month of very light use.I decided to get a cheaper corded WEN detail sander and it has been working for over 2 years. The modest convenience of the cordless detail sander is not worth the VERY limited Ryobi life cycle, and you'll find with the bulk of the mounted battery, it's not nearly as light and maneuverable as a corded sander.

I have several battery sized and the larger ones make it way to heavy, may help if you sanding on a horizontal surface. So using the smaller battery it seem to last quite a while, you can tell the power gets less and less before it stops due to battery depleted.
