SAF did an excellent job on this one. Highly recommend. Radon is a silent killer… Get your home checked and stay on top of it. Was awesome to watch the graphs and see how radon plumes under the earth fluctuate. Even weather affects levels in your home based on barometric pressure. Picture is from device app after using it in our inlaws home for a week. They need a mitigation system!

I always wanted to keep an eye on the Radon levels in the house. This compact detector fits the bill nicely. It is easy to setup and detects the levels after a while. It's been over two months and the battery is still going. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the reading as I don't have another detector to compare against. But it shows low levels of Radon and it is on par with the Radon measurement service we had last year.

My old radon meter had an OLED always-on display that was partially burned out with time. I picked this one specifically because it has an E-ink display. E-ink displays have the longest life expectancy among all of the displays. This is because they stay unpowered between screen updates. Yes you need an ambient light to see the display picture, but for me it is not a showstopper. The device runs on 2x AA batteries and consumes very little power. You can sync the data to your phone over Bluetooth by installing a companion app. App also allows you to change device settings remotely. Bluetooth power can be increased by changing the corresponding setting but at the expense of higher power consumption. Device is based on an ionization chamber method which is more precise and superior to the scintillation counting measurement method.

I have a radon mitigation system in my house that was installed before I moved in. Initially, I didn’t fully understand its purpose or necessity. To learn more, I purchased this device to monitor radon levels, and it has been working great. I’ve integrated it with Home Assistant to track radon levels and receive notifications if they reach a high threshold. However, similar functionality could likely be achieved using the device’s app.The device connects via Bluetooth, and since I keep it in the basement, I initially experienced occasional communication failures. To resolve this, I set up Bluetooth proxies throughout my house, which eliminated connectivity issues. It would be nice if this device could connect to wifi and not just bluetooth.I plan to experiment by temporarily turning off the mitigation system to observe how radon levels fluctuate and determine if the mitigation system needs to operate 24/7.

Probably the best product for this price. So far I'm very happy. I've also done some tests around the house. It responds well to location changes.
