Very reasonable price. Tested on a couple small intentional leaks and worked great. Installed my own propane garage heaters & checked all my connections with this sniffer & everything was good. The building inspector was even impressed with the tool. Of course he used his own sniffer and also didn't find any leaks. Approved the project.Guess I know what I'm doing.

It works great. I have a propane cook stove in my kitchen, and I thought I kept smelling little teeny whiffs of gas. I have a super sensitive sense of smell, and kept thinking it was my imagination, as it wasn't strong or consistent odor. I finally freaked out about it, and turned of the gas line to the stove. Ordered this gas detector that same day. Since the gas line was turned off, and I didn't know how to fix it if it was leaking, the new gas detector sat on the kitchen counter until the day the gas repair man came to inspect and do a pressure test. When he turned the gas back on, he decided to use this detector. (Professional gas people use a spray bottle of soapy water, and it bubbles up when it's sprayed on a leaky spot)As he compared his method of detecting gas leaks with this little device......he pronounced that he was going to get of these little gadgets too. Yes, there was one teeny tiny little leak at the valve where the gas line was connected to the stove itself. This gadget found that leak before the gas guys soapy spray found it. He was impressed ! It will be good to have it on hand, in case any future problems.

Really the only negative is the batteries tend to get used up very quickly. But it works well.

Nice price. Very handy to get for LP and Nature gas leaks. Tested for leaks. LP gas for my grill sounded present for gas. Would buy again.

I bought this to test for a gas leak in our basement and around the fireplace. This thing found it. Just the tiniest amount of gas makes it chirp. It confirmed the leak I thought I had and found multiple leaks I didn't even know I had. This thing could be a lifesaver. I'm amazed at how well it works for how little it costs.

This little thing is very sensitive and easy to use! We got it due to a smell on our gas stove when refilling the tanks. Luckily we haven't smelt anything since but it has pick up other leaks on grill lines!

I was wanting a gas leak detector as I use supplement propane heat in the winter. I first bought this unit and though I may want/need the "more advanced" features of the xxxxxx detector at about four times the price which was also purchased. Side by side testing of these two detectors gave me a chance to determine IF the extra cost of the xxxxxx was justified. I used a tall, narrow drinking glass which I used for my "gas test container" to minimize ambient airflow and air dilution. A 1 second burst of a Bic lighter was released about 1 inch down-into the glass so the test gas would be pretty much contained as the probes of both units were then inserted a couple of inches into the glass. (Explosive gasses are HEAVER THAN AIR and will settle to the lowest area).... This Vitite detector sounded almost immediately, with a full-turn to red display. The xxxxxx detector detection time was slower at about 2 seconds with a correspondingly increasing numerical display. This "test" is in no way meant to be a scientific test, only a test to determine the detection performance between the two units. In MY opinion, while the xxxxxx has some great features, they took a back seat to the longer time required for the alarm to sound. **The pictures tell the story**. This Vitite detector has the "standard" sensor protection cover that DOES allow good airflow to reach the sensor electronics in a very short time. The "open air" design of the sensor shield provided an unrestricted airflow to enable the sensor to detect any gas. The xxxxxx, while it does have some advanced features, is severely hampered by an overzealous sensor protector cover. The face of this cover has holes on its face, BUT, the amount of air being blocked by this "overprotective" shield, killed its performance.... I was needing a gas leak detector that provided a QUICK notification of a leak and not so much the "whistles and bells" that the xxxxxx has. IF I was not concerned about voiding the warranty, I probably have kept the xxxxxx detector and greatly "opened up" the protection holes on the face which would have provided the airflow necessary for better detection performance.... For MY money, this Vitite performs a good job at a very economical price. IMPORTANT TIP - I store my unit with the back battery cover slightly loose by about 1/2 turn or so. This keeps the battery TOTALLY disconnected from the "soft start" electronics that DO CONSUME battery power 24/7, if the battery cap was tightened normally. And, instead of letting the unit turn off after the set time, I just unscrew the battery cap to turn it off instantly, which will greatly improve/save battery life....

Bonjour j’ai acheté ce produit pour notre camping car,il me sert au niveau des bouteilles de gaz avec l’échangeur, ce qui va très vite à faire et aussi au chauffage ALDE , frigidaire plaques de gaz ça rassure, le fonctionnement est très simple,il ne tient pas de place et très léger cdlt
