These work excellent as far as noise reduction while you're shooting but hearing ambient sounds is not great. I bought them because I just wanted to try them out and these will be my go-to's I have other amplified style hearing protection but they tend to get in the way including the corded small earplugs. These work nicely they fit okay and they're fairly comfortable I really pushing on them hard and let them settle in my ear canal and they provide excellent ear protection. I'm especially cognizant of ear protection because I have severe tinnitus in my left ear. Semper Fi!

When attending a loud outdoor party with loud music these are ear savers! Can still talk and hear conversation with them in but blocks a lot of the loud BOOM BOOM noise.

I love these ear pieces. Quick and easy to apply. Concealable. Comfortable fitting. I got two pair. Need to buy a replacement pair for the BOB.

I was not sure what to expect when I was at the range. I tried them first while mowing the lawn and the mower sound was louder than I expected. Quite a bit louder than when I wear regular foam ear plugs. I read upon how this tech is supposed to work but I was still a bit leery. The closer I got to the report of the rifles in the lanes next to me the more noise they blocked.They worked great when I was at the recent Stones concert. Blocked just enough so my ears did not ring but the sound of the music did not seem at all distorted. For the price I am really happy

They work so well during praise and worship at church. Some times the drummer gets too loud, but these blocked that sound, while still letting me hear conversations!

I like that these are inexpensive and simple to use but I use several different types of hearing protection for both indoor and outside shooting so I'm very familiar with what to expect with 30ish db protection. Unfortunately these don't even come close. To achieve above 30dB requires a much better seal to the ear as achieved with custom molded earplugs. I have been using molded earplugs for years and thought I'd give these a try and they performed as expected. Sorry to say but just being honest.
