I have had this door closer for about 2 to 3 weeks now. I wanted to give time for an honest opinion. I had a string closer previously they worked but got broke when the door was open to wide so I knew I needed something more sturdy. This was easy and quick to install. I have dogs that know how to open the door on their own, but don't know how to close the door so this was a must. It does have a noise but unless u are sensitive to it, it doesn't bother you. It's easy to install and works great

This door closer couldn't be simpler to install and it works well (with a couple of tweaks)I used the provided screws to mount the spring unit to the door frame but used a 3M Command Strip for the door guard strip (rather than drill holes in the door. Adjusting the tension might take a try or two, I found the very first stop to work fine for my hollow core interior door.A couple of things you might want to consider.1. This is just a simple spring mechanism and isn't terribly consistent. Whether the door latches by slamming, closing easily with a click or doesn't latch at all depends largely on where the door starts fully open or just halfway.2. Make adjustments by adding small anti slam pads such as these https://amzn.to/46iwlsc where the outer edge of the door contacts the frame. This takes a little experimentation.3. The spring makes a noise as most springs do but you can eliminate it by spraying a little bit of silicone lube into the two gaps where the center of the spring unit pivots. Spray, work it in a little and the next day it'll be silent.With the proper adjustment and the anti slam pads you should have a door that closes easily and (almost) noiselessly with a soft thunk instead of a slam.

This is smaller than I expected, which is good. There’s no noise like others described, I wonder if it’s a material or installation issue others are having. Installation was easy. We’re using it on the front door, so it’s heavier, it either closes it completely or at least brings the door back partially to the latch, which prevents pets from escaping. We have a sensor on the door so we’d get an alert if it isn’t latched after a minute. So having this installed to prevent the door from being wide open is perfect for us. It gives us enough time to get someone else to close the door fully if needed. Also it’s a good price at 15.99

Yes I know you get what you paid for. However I still think there's value in pointing out it's flaws.Pro:Easy to installEasy for someone who's mechanically inclined to install.Basic, simple, and it works!Cons:The instructions are very unclear so a little thinking is required.Screws are very small and stripp out very easy.IT IS NOISY!Yes you hear the spring binding on door.Doesn't work with doors with coat racks. (Too heavy)ConclusionIt's reliable, simple enough to install, and gets the job done! However it will not work on doors with some weight to it and it's very noisy!

I'm so glad I found this. Every time our kids have friends over and they're upstairs, they're all walking by and looking into our bedroom and it makes me feel like I don't have any privacy when I'm in there. Even if I shut the door, my husband or kids are coming in and out and they don't close the door. We installed this door closer and it works perfect. It was simple to install and you can adjust it so that it closes the door lighter or harder. It doesn't have the squeak that others have reported in their reviews. We don't hear it at all when our door closes. I'm really glad to have this and it has greatly reduced my stress and increased my privacy. Great value for the money spent.

I wasn’t sure on what to expect from a gate closer device. After looking at a few different designs I chose the HoneSecur safety spring. I’m so much happier with this product than I had expected to be. It’s absolutely perfect for my yard gate. The one thing I changed, the screws. A bunch of reviews said the included screws were crappy screws, so, I didn’t even try them, I just used my own and all is strong and secure. Great product and will get a couple more for my two other gates.

Does not have the strength to fully close the light weight hollow interior door even though I had maxed out the spring force adjustment, although this was sufficient for the purpose I needed.I also installed the closer at the same level as the door handle, with the thought it will more evenly apply the closing force across the door to help it close reliably compare to mounting the closer at the top of the door.I was looking for the door closer that is mounted internally in the door jam as used with the heavier metal fire-rated door from the garage to the house, however it is more expensive and more involved to install, so this lower cost and easier to install door closer fits the need of this application.

El articulo llegó en una caja muy simple. Lo que se incluye es lo que viene en la fotografÃa que incluyo y coloqué una moneda de $5 para referencia.trae lo necesario para la fijación e incluye un pivote enroscable para ir dando tensión al resorte. La instalación fué muy sencilla pues solo utilice un taladro y una punta de broca y otra punta de cruz (phillips). Darle la tensión si requirió un poco mas de esfuerzo pues hay que ir girando de la parte central con ayuda del pivote y enroscar el brazo blanco largo en la posición que nos dé la fuerza necesaria para el cierre. en este sentido serÃa funcional que las perforaciones vinieran mas continuas y no tan espaciadas ya que en mi caso en una perforación queda con poca fuerza para contrarestar el guardapolvos inferior y en la siguiente quedó un poco excedido al llegar al marco.Un aspecto que me tiene preocupado pero que hasta el momento no ha fallado es que el resorte cruje un poco al interior lo que podrÃa indicar un esfuerzo excesivo pero espero que dure porque en mi caso otros tipos de cierra puertas eran demasiado para el peso de mi mosquitero y su costo obviamente es también mayor.A FAVOR: ESTETICO, OCUPA POCO ESPACIO, AL SER BLANCO NO SE NOTA, EL DISEÑO ES EN CIERTA MEDIDA BONITO, PRECIO ADECUADO.EN CONTRA: AJUSTE EN LA TENSION PODRIA SER MEJOR. CRUJIDO DEL RESORTE CUANDO YA SE TIENE UNA TENSION ALTA PARA CERRAR LA PUERTA
