This is a vine review meaning the product was provided to be reviewed.This product is a 6 foot flexible unthreaded dehumidifier hose with a separate stainless steel clamp with a plastic butterfly tightener.I thought this product would be good to connect to my dehumidifier because the turn from the floor to the drain is 90° in a few inches, and the flexibility of this hose is optimal for this installation.My dehumidifier has a threaded fitting to fit a garden hose, which eliminates the need to empty water from the dehumidifier Reservoir. All I needed was a dehumidifier hose, like this product.I had reservations about connecting a smooth hose collar over a threaded dehumidifier fitting, but thought I would give it a try based on reviews. I was correct, and the combination of the smooth hose collar and the threaded fitting is a perfect combination for leaks.To test the hose, I attached it to the threaded dehumidifier fitting using the included stainless steel clamp. I tightened the clamp very snuggly but not so much as to crack either the plastic dehumidifier fitting or the plastic butterfly toggle on the clamp. I then ran the dehumidifier for 48 hours. Unfortunately, the hose collar was so thick it did not flex enough under the clamp to fill the threads on the humidifier fitting. Water was able to move through the threads, on to the hose collar, and into the flexible ribs of the hose. The entire underside of the hose was wet, yet the leak was slow enough that it did not drip on the floor. Nonetheless, over a long period I have no doubt there would be puddling, and have deducted two stars because the primary purpose of any hose is to get fluid through it without leaking.In summary, I do not recommend this product for use over a threaded fitting. The hose collar is too thick and inflexible to fill the threads and the result is leakage.

I ordered this drain hose for the portable air conditioner in my upstairs bedroom. Since it's impossible to roll it outside to drain, this hose was the perfect solution. My only suggestion is to make sure it will work with your unit's fitting before purchasing.

This hose was such a helpful tool with my dehumidifier. Sometimes we leave it on, and it tends to overflow, so adding on an additional bucket was needed. I just wasn't sure how to do it until i saw this hose. It works great. Very flexible, and seems to be made out of a strong plastic.

Most of the features on this application are great for the intended use, but the fact that the hose ends are not threaded drives leakage as others have also mentioned and this is a stopper (no pun). It needs to have a threaded option so that you can fit it securely to the threaded reservoirs on the more common dehumidifiers. Decent, but not enough for full stars. Recommended, but only if you can live with trying to cinch your solution down and hope it doesn't wick water around the threads.

This hose is advertised as fitting standard garden hose fittings but the ends of the hose are not threaded.The rare situation where you have a smooth 3/4 fitting this would be perfect but using it anywhere you have a threaded connector seems like a recipe for disaster. The product description even listed using it for the water connections for a washing machine. I can't see any way this hose wouldn't leak in these scenarios.I ordered this to use as a drain hose for our pool but after looking at the connections I decided to go another direction.Overall, I'm confused by "Saillong Universal Dehumidifier Drain Hose, Drain Hose Extension Kit with Rubber Adapter and Connect Clamp, Flexible Drain Hose for Most of Dehumidifiers, Air Conditioners, Garden Faucets (6.5 Feet)".

This is the only one that has actually fit properly and not leaked. Pretty good quality as well. So glad to not have watee leaking on the carpets anymore!

I could never get those cheap plastic tubes to fit properly or stay fitted to drain the water on portable A/C's. So I left them fully plugged and every few month's I'd have to tilt the machine to drain the water. Well this thing is just what the doctor ordered. No more tilting or tubes coming off and leaving water all over the place. Just works. Thanks
