This is my first SainSmart Relay purchase. Selected this brand and went with SSR vs mechanical based on much research into RaspberryPi enabled projects. The research paid off. SainSmart Relay is very well built and easy to work into a project. SSR results in quiet operation. The broad and terminals are well labeled - no separate instruction sheet is provided nor needed from my standpoint if you are familiar with wiring RaspberryPi projects.

had to reorder some. this is better than the alternatives out there, but just sloppily put together, and easily damaged during shipping.

The relay interfaced nicely with the raspberry pi and seems to work great. Being solid state there's no audible "click" when you trigger the relay which is nice. LED indicators let you know if a particular relay is active or not. I have another SainSmart 5V 2-channel relay (not solid state -[...] and the problem I had with it was that it was ACTIVE LOW (no a defect, but by design). So, whenever my raspberry pi rebooted and the signal on that GPIO pin dropped to LOW, the relay triggered (which is not what I wanted). But, with this Solid State version, it is ACTIVE HIGH, so a reboot or power outage of the Pi does NOT trigger the relay (which is what I want). This is a great relay and I highly recommend it if the specs fit your needs.

Got this relay to do my project which entails switching on el wires. Does what it's supposed to. I did notice a small delay, whcih is the reason why i went back to a mechanical relay instead. But overall, it does what a relay does.

This is a great improvement of the standard relays. I had bought several of those, both 2 and 4 channel versions. Those tend to chatter at some speeds, requiring software and sometimes hardware workarounds.I bought 1 to try it, then bought another, and another. These are fast and reliable. If you are doing precision work, these arethe ones to buy.I have ordered from SainSmart directly at times, but their shipping/handling does not seem as robust as Amazon.
