The tool locks well and it is nice to have a profile tool that you can purchase more and you can make the tool as long as you want to.

I used the gauge to profile the bottom of a cast iron tub to make wooded legs. I work great, easy to use, could of been a little longer but didn't impact job.

Most profile guages are 8"-10" with contour blades that will move when you least want it to. Not this unit. 5" and 10" guages in the set that can lock together plus a blade lock to ensure that once you set the profile it won't change until you want it to. All that at a great price. ðŸ‘

Son-in-law is very pleased with this tool. Without the opportunity to use it yet, can't say much more. Shipping was very slow. Although the site indicated delivery before Christmas, it did not arrive until January. Disappointing not to have a gift to open!

I bought a knock off, then had to return it, it was not the quality of this Saker and did not lock in place, so I was fighting it to keep the thing from moving, The Saker, so much better quality and locks in place and I love it!

The two pieces (5" and 10") do not come together completely and once in place must be separated with a hammer. Cheap garbage plastic from China.
