Had a 3in hole i needed to drill into a concrete block wall for a mini split line set, this did the trick! Seems to be very durable,it cut fairly quickly.for the price you can't beat it! I'll be buying another for a larger hole shortly!

I ordered to use with my Ryobi drill a normal house hold tool not a construction heavy duty drill. This is extremely heavy and should only be used with a heavy duty construction drill. It will do the job. I borrowed a friends (works in construction) and it worked amazing.

Drilling a 2 inch hole for sump pump drain line. It went through the 1939 cement block in 2 minutes and was no problem, using a 20v battery hammer drill. However on the other side of the block was a void and a 12 inch thick solid 113 year old concrete foundation. We worked on that from the outside. The 20v hammer drill began to smoke and burn up, and electric drill made no difference so we had to buy a rotary hammer drill and after and hour got through. We lost 5 teeth and had to start using a garden sprayer with water to reduce the heat. The drill was 1/2 too short to get through the last bit of 12 inch wall but we broke out the rest with a metal rod. For the price, it does the job and works. Be very careful with the rotary hammer drill. This bit will catch and send that drill spinning and it will cause damage to you! I had a bloody ankle and shin...was drilling from a dug out hole and leaning down...not easy!

This hole saw cut through 16-year-old concrete. It stopped cutting when I hit rebar, I didn't force it, so the carbide bits remained intact. Great hole saw for the money. I did use a Hilti drill with a clutch, so it helps when the saw binds in the hole. Water helps to flush out the debris.

I guess you get what you pay for. However, this didn’t even make it through one course of bricks. Start off well bit then dulled very quickly and my the time I made it half way though it didn’t want to cut any longer.Save your money and invest in a name brand cutter.

For the price it just exceeded expectations, you do need a good size drill but the bit itself did 2 holes so far with zero issues. Not only recommend but will buy again!

Looks like it’s a good quality item but in a huge SDS drill it is doing more damage than cutting a hole. I am trying to go through brick on an old house and it’s just not happening at all. If anything if I continue to try using it then it’s more than likely to smash the brick out in one place! The picture is all I got done in 20 minutes. The missing bit of wall is plaster! The red brick just will not cut.

I used an SDS Plus drill to drive the hole saw and a hammer drill to drive the 1/4" bit.I needed a 4" hole through a 12" basement block wall to install a vent.I used a 1/4" x 12" masonry bit to drill through one side and partially to the outer side of the block. Then, using the hole saw and the dry hole saw, I drilled the first side and finished the pilot hole through the outer side with the 1/4" bit. Then, I used the hole saw with a water hose placed on top to continuously wet the bit, and it was much easier to drill and produced much less dust. The hole saw is still in good shape.
