Carbon tipped scribes work great and can easily be placed in your pocket. As far as the brass auto punch - I found that was a bit weak. The tip would mushroom after several punches and would start to separate during use. The punch was not of high quality .. However, overall I bought the set for the two scribes not so much for the punch. It's one of those types of items that you would have to buy and try for yourself to see if you like it or not. Scribes "GOOD" - Punch "Not So Good"...

Items arrived as described. They work well and nice to have an extra Tungsten scriber. And the spring punch is strong to indent on metal or any other material really.

Scribes are not as advertised. They are tungsten steel. But they’re not pointed it’s just a cut off piece of steel and you have to add the point to the steel. Not much use without you doing some grinding to get the point the way you want it.

This is very useful tool to have, similar to some reviews mentioned, the punch centre, it doesn't always click but it is strong enough to leave a mark on the wood. I am very satisfied for what I paid for it.

These aren't high quality but they work perfectly well, and I'm very happy about the price.The clips are chintzy, but I don't care about that. I took them off right away, as they are not to be trusted.I'm glad I bought these. The quality is passable, and the price is good.Update: After using it only a few times, the Center Punch stopped working. I lowered my star rating from 5 down to 2. The Scribers are still functional.

I make Spanish Acoustic Guitars and having markings as exact as possible makes the difference between an excellent guitar and a mediocre guitar. The markers I purchased exceeded my expectations. Great value with quality results.
