Didn’t expect much from this tool. Not easy to use, pencil is hard to get set where it will not break tip off of it when using.

This is designed to initially work with a wooden pencil. For most of my markings, I use either a mechanical pencil or a felt tip marker. This centering gage has enough mass to allow it to be adapted to use other size markers.

Not an accurate centerline marker. Centering the lead to mark accurately extremely problematic.

This tool is a simple device that does one thing really well - draws a centerline down a board. It is well made and well worth it in a pack of two. The opening in the middle fits a standard pencil which makes drawing the line very easy. Get this tool - it is worth it and you will not regret having it.
