I got the SATA to USB 3.0 Adapter, External Hard Drive Converter Cable for 2.5" 3.5" HDD, SSD with Power Supply. It was worth every penny! It was "EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!" It was so Easy to Use on my OLD HARD DRIVE! I hooked it up, just plugged it in and it worked perfectly. Thank You! I was told my old hard drive died, yet I was able to access all my files, pictures and music. I am just tickled with this device! Actually, I'm amazed it was so easy. I'm still moving my files as I had so much on there. My data was so important to me. I also had a "200 Page Family Cookbook" I spent a year putting together and my BACKUP Seagate External Hard Drive did not copy all my files like it should have. Which I backed up regularly. That is when I started researching for this device.My sister thought I was tech savy...lol...I told her no, I just researched what my old hard drive needed for me to access my files. Then, I asked the question on here about whether or not it would work with my Seagate Barracuda 1000GB SATA Model ST 1000DM003. And I got many answers that said yes it should. So, I purchased it and it did work! By the way, "THANK YOU ALL so much for answering my question here because you helped me make the decision!" So, I know I'm not tech savy, but I know how to research and ask questions. And, I'm confident enough to try. So glad I did all this! Hope everyone who answered my question sees this review.I know it would have cost me so much more to have a company get all my data for me. Instead, I used this device myself and it worked perfectly! I would recommend this to anyone whose old hard drive is compatible or if they were told their hard drive died. Awesome product! Thanks again to all who helped me! Exactly what I needed, overnighted. Used a 2.5 , 2TB SSD. Plugged in and loaded my existing files. No driversLoaded ISO's for Linux and windows. Used Ventoy to boot. A working PC with 1TB of all my favorite files and Distros..

This works great for solid states drives. Don't use it on older hard drives.

This worked excellently for plugging in some older SATA drives and finding thought lost photos and data. This now allows for the the transfer of precious data onto an SSD. With the added external power, there is no issue spinning up some of those old drives. Also, simply disconnect the power for smaller SSD or SATA drives and it works the same.I do have to say that on my iMAC the system found a couple old drives that when using it on Windows the system just didn't see. Probably an OS thing.It did work on other drives on Windows. Just one or two drives Windows couldn't resolve, came right up in MAC. Not a review of either OS just a fact of my experience.This device works very well, it a wonderful tool to repurpose those older drives and preserve memories.

Eu tinha um dock station que precisava ser conectado à tomada para plugar HDs e SSDs antigos, permitindo usá-los como armazenamento removÃvel. Este cabinho simples cumpriu perfeitamente essa função e simplificou muito o processo!

VERY BAD POOR AND WEAK QUALITY, AND THE ADAPTER PIN DOES NOT FIT THE SATA. OVERPRICED FOR THAT QUALITY.ALSO THE POWER ADPATER SHOULD BE 12V AND THEY HAVE SENT A POOR QUALITY 5 VOLT.I HAD TO CUT A PIN FROM OTHER ADAPTER AND JOIN.HARDLY I TRY TO INSERT THE SATA GENTLY IT CRACKED
