Purchased this for my son who just had a neck strap for his sax and was complaining that his neck always hurt. Wears this shoulder strap and no more complaining about his neck.

The size description for this saxophone harness was WAY WRONG!! It clearly states that it is good down to size 5'3" and 115 lb. That is my size exactly. But even when all of the straps are put at their very shortest, this harness was SO HUGE that the sax mouthpiece barely came up to my neck. I had to resew the straps so that they were shortened by 6 inches to make it would fit me. Because of the thickness of the straps, this sewing had to be done by hand. It took me well over an hour to make sure it was sewn securely. Clearly it was not made for many women nor for most kids. One other problem is that the clasp to hold the instrument is very difficult to open. If you have relatively poor pinch strength or any arthritis in your thumb, forget it. Even if a kid is chubby enough to fit into this harness, it still might be a poor choice because of the amount of pinch strength required to open the clasp. (As an occupational therapist who worked in hand therapy, I know this level of pinch strength is more than many young people or older people have.)I do give the item credit, though, for being otherwise well made and relatively comfortable.

My daughter used Bari. Bari sax for lightweight high school band use, sitting and standing. Here less than six months later the clasp holding up the Bari sax broke while standing, causing the instrument to drop, damaging it. Would not recommend because we have to buy another strap and repair the bari.

I've been using this for band since 7th grade I am now in 9th and it still works. It has lasted me two years now. The only issue I have sometimes is it tangles up sometimes and it gets difficult other than that I recommend buying it! I use it for my Tenor Sax and always have.

I bought this for my son who just started band this year. His first and most constant complaint was the discomfort of his standard neck strap. I looked at other padded neck straps and wasn't to sure about them. I found this harness and haven't heard a complaint since. He and his band teacher absolutely love it.

I'm deciding whether to keep it or not. I cannot play my Tenor in front or on my left side. I trying to arrange the sax clip to the right side. The clip is on the WRONG side.ew
