I build and maintain a lot of cars, street rods and racecars. Engine building, Bodywork, Welding, Wiring, plumbing and fabrication is a large part of what I do in the process of building street rods, racecars and restoring classic cars. I have to say that for the price-point of less than 20 bucks, this kit is a bargain. I don’t have an installed photo yet as this particular car is still in process, but I’ll show you some of the crummy parts it’s replacing in comparison.Be aware that the cylinder heads you have, must have the accessory holes in them in order to make this kit work right out of the box. I have, years ago, drilled the old style heads, but I’ll warn you right now, there’s a water jacket back in there and you may end up having to seal your bolt. The heim joints in this kit are nice and of suitable quality. The solid billet bracket is anodized, but could be sanded and polished with some effort - if shine is your thing.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give this kit my Big-Foot “Stomp†of approval and 5 stars!

I liked how the aircraft bolts had reversed thread so you can adjust on the fly, I didn’t like that I had to file the water pump eyelet down to fit again stains the secco water pump. I only had to take a little bit of material off tho

This is essentially a clone of the March 20121-09 SBC alternator bracket which I've used on the engine of my '69 El Camino for a few decades now. My bracket has some significant wear and scratches on it that won't polish out easily so I figured I'd swap it out for this. This came package well enough that there are no dings or scratches from shipping and the finish on the parts is very nice. For the price, I'm incredibly pleased. It will look great on my engine once I have a chance to get it installed.

Included everything needed, the components are dimensionally accurate, and it looks good. No need to spend more on a well known brand that's probably made in the same factory anyway, this kit will do the trick.

Right now my race car has early factory cast iron heads without accessory bolt holes, but over the winter I’m changing to aluminum head with the holes. This alternator bracket is similar to what I have on one of my other cars, somI know it’s going to work and look great. I test fitted the main bracket on a cylinder head and it lines up perfectly.

Perfectly holds my alternator in-place. Although I'm not using it on a SBC set-up, it is working perfectly for my application. The bracket is rigid and is not showing any signs of flex or degradation because of under hood temps. The adjustable tensioner comes with 2-heim joints with lock nuts for locking it all together once you're happy with the tension. The system works perfectly and I couldnt be happier! Also, don't forget your thread locker for the brace mounting bolts.

Perfect fit on my 76 C10. Belt alignment is superior to a makeshift bracket I had made.
