Other battery chargers I bought were a frustrating dilemma to get the battery to sit in there right. This one went in right away without any struggles.

The light on the charger is red, then turns green when the new replacement battery is charged. The light on the charger blinks red when the battery that came with the radio is put on the charger by itself, but when the battery that came with the radio is left on the radio when charging, the light on the charger stays red and turns green when charged. Perhaps the blinking red light for the original battery alone means the original battery that came with the radio is getting old.
