Before purchase, I watched the manufacturer video three times. It was very short, clear, and precise, as are the written instructions with images and steps provided with the kit. Installation is as easy as the video depicts. After practicing twice, it only takes me about 2-3 minutes to install the chains on each tire, so I'm ready for need. I can't yet vouch for durability, not having used them much but they appear well made. Make sure to use the specification sheet for your exact tire size, which for my vehicles matched exactly and provides snug fit.

I bought these in case I needed chains to go up Big Bear (luckily didn't). But of course I had to test these out to know how to apply them for when I actually went on the trip.I have a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and these fit my tire measurements perfectly. I made sure I was on level ground when applying them and it was literally so easy I didn't need my boyfriend to help me. It seemed sturdy but I can't really say how truly sturdy it is since I didn't get to take it in the snow since we didn't need them on the trip. Will keep ya'll posted!

These chains work well. The first time you install them is a bit tricky. No problem after that. I use them to get out of my uphill driveway. Once I am out I remove them because I don't consider them heavy duty for constant use.

Had anticipated the bad storms in Ohio, ordered these on a whim. 2 chains for my fwd 2004 jetta tdi. Fit the kit to my tire and rim size. Kept them in the boot, got stuck on a icy hill 315N Cbus ohio.Installed even in bad icy conditions in about 10 minutes. Little tricky but was easy enough, my first time using chains on my own car.Drove great through 2 inches of snow, 3/4" of ice, black ice, and great traction for a 1/5 slope. Even if they don't last me the winter, I wouldn't have made it to work without them - worth purchasing.I passed quite a few wrecks (18), and was able to get through territory others couldn't. Avoided deep snow which isint recommend, but I did make through a bank of 3" snow in reverse. Actually did great in that unplanned terrain.They seemed a little loose but tightened up with use. They also got thrown on one side after 40 miles. Held up to the abuse of not using correct traction on them and the wheel rubbing on them.If you have complaints on it'd fit, I'd make sure you read carefully your tire and rim size. I also found reviews helpful on similar rims to make my final selection. 10/10, would use again.

The Amazon tool worked well to help find the right chains for my tires. This set is very easy to install.

The chains seemed to work well, but then while driving in part slush/snow and part road (because we could not find a place to remove the chains for a couple miles), one of the set of chains fell off (actually the part that was most in the snow). Note that I was driving very slowly to ensure that the chains remained on the vehicle. So while I liked how easy the chains were to put on, I did not like how easily they came off. After getting stuck in the snow with a single chain, I ended up needing to buy a set of chains from a different manufacturer. I had to have someone bring these other ones to me because I was stuck. The other pair I bought are more robust than these and were not as likely to fall off so easily. So while the ease of use is great, getting stuck in the snow with only one chain was awful. If you do end up buying these, you will need to buy two pairs (which negates the benefit of the price), so that you are prepared when you lose one of them. Wish I could say it worked better. I was very hopeful, but ultimately disappointed.

Context/Installation:Was driving to a trailhead and got to a snowy slope that I stalled out on. Backed up to a safe section with less snow to put the chains on. Installation wasn't very hard, but did take a few minutes. Instructions were followed, chains facing the right way, hook connected, cables pulled through keyhole to the second knobby bit, tensioner installed as instructed, alternating opposite sides as I worked my way around. I say all this to lend credence to the statement that I did the installation correctly.Usage/Performance:After installing the chains, was able to get up the hill with ease. Drove through plenty of snow on the way to the trailhead (6+ inches, I was shaving the top off the snow in some places with the clearance of my stock Camry). Made it to the trailhead and discovered that I'd lost the right side chain somewhere along my journey. I had the chains on for ~6 miles at this point. Fortunately, there was minimal damage to my wheel well. Front bottom I'm missing a triangle around 1"x2". Left side stayed on for the trip back. There were sections without snow while the chains were on. Speed did not exceed 30mph, tended to stay between 15 and 25.Closing remarks:Was not able to find the missing chain on the trip back, so couldn't figure out if it broke somewhere. The chain(s) got me to and from the trailhead, which was nice, but wasn't intending for this to be a single use product. The packaging is asinine. Not getting both of those back in the toolbox looking thing unless you want to spend 5 minutes doing dirty wet chain origami after you chain off. Get a duffel bag or something if you plan to buy these. I wouldn't recommend these based on my experience, but perhaps I'm an outlier.

These are the best and easiest chains to use. I have gone up hills that are covered with ice and made it! It takes a bit of practice ( before you actually need them ) to put on but once you know it's fairly easy. watch a few youtube videos and try at home on a nice sunny day. Saved the day heading to the ski hill with my kids when traffic stopped and I was spinning on ice. put these on and away we went. Every woman ( and man ) should know how to use.

Wow son excelentes se instalan en menos de un minuto e igual la desinstalación… agradable cambio a otras de otro tipo que tuve antes que era difÃcil instalar… pero estas son excelentes; ideal cuando necesitas ponerlas en pendiente y nevando no se batalla :)

having never used snow chains before they were simple to put on and take off (after watching the 90 sec youtube video) and were extremely effective.

The chain intrudes below the bottom of the tyre on the inside and would clash with car hardware. Therefore useless for my vehicle even though I got the appropriate size for my 245/45 R19 tyres.Pity as the design is good otherwise

Easy to install when needed. Could not get up a slushy hill in Vancouver BC and strapped these on and got home after New Years Eve dinner party. I have good snow tires but it wasn't enough. These provide very good traction in deeper snow and excellent traction in compacted snow. Speed limit with chains on is 50 KM's per hour.Good to have in your trunk when needed! I've put them on twice and can now install in 5 minutes. Pack gloves and use your car matts to kneel on when installing so you don't wet your knees. Also pack a flashlight!
