When the alternator on my 2009 Pontiac Vibe started having intermittent failure, I started looking for an affordable replacement. All the parts stores were very high prices. I looked up the various parts number and found this one. It's the best price I found and was a typical swap. It has worked perfectly for a couple of months now. I am very pleased and recommend it to others who don't have $200+ to spend on the OEM parts.

June 2024. My Alternator went bad after 130,000 Miles. I purchased this as a replacement. I got the new alternator a day after I ordered. It took about 1 hour to remove the dead alternator and replace it with the new one and a new belt and it was a successful repair. The alternator fit properly and charges the battery as expected. For a hundred-dollar alternator, I am more than happy with it's performance. For the price I will be happy if it runs for 50k-100k miles.Potential update down the line...

After I had installed, I was able to drive home then a short while after it shut down and wouldn't start back up. Mechanic thought it might be the battery even though I just replaced the battery so it was brand new. I bought another new battery but had the same issue. Took it to another mechanic and made me buy a brand new alternator from their shop, I haven't had a problem since. This alternator is bad. Buy from a reputable mechanic.
