Tried it on my boss Ac7ab radio unit and it barely fit. Could’ve been just a bit bigger for a tighter secured fit but it did the job. Not bad for the price. 99-04 mustang

The plastic is a little flimsy but that’s what I expected. Works fine for a 2003 mustang and fits snug.

This item fit okay around my husbands new Pioneer AVH-280BT In-Dash DVD Receiver with 6.2" Display and Bluetooth (which is AWESOME, by the way! I highly recommend that deck if you are looking for one). The Scosche Dash Kit for 2001 - 2005 Select Ford Vehicles. My husband had to do a little trim work to make it fit. It was labeled that it would fit 2001-2005 Ford explorers two or 4 door, but failed to mention it DID NOT FIT a 2002 Ford Sport Track.In the future, maybe include that the Dash Kit does not fit ~all ford kits.If you find my review helpful, please do not hesitate to hit the helpful button. NOT RECOMMENDED. Frame was not correct. Did not fit square on my square radio. After forcing into place frame became out of alignment. This causes significant rattling in cabin. Super annoying. I scrapped this and tried another.

I installed a Jensen J1CA7 in my 2001 Ford F-150. I'm 60 something and I've never done a radio install before. It took some time to match up the wires on the factory plug to the wires in the cable included with this kit but it was fairly intuitive sort of jigsaw puzzle but I completed the task successfully the first time by carefully comparing the wiring diagram that came with the radio with the pictures I took of the factory plug in the dash of my F-150.The other plastic parts of the kit provided the in dash frame with which to secure my radio install. This is the only kit I needed for electrical and frame.I also bought a USB extension cable (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078LMBQM6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and you may also want a back up camera.

a big help in converting a new touchscreen unit to replace an old factory AM-FM_CD unit. Made up the wiring harness by mating the new unit's supplied plugs /wire leads to the Ford plug, in most cases, the wire color codes were identical, in a few cases it took a bit of detective work but overall went smoothly.

Not much to say about this. It is made of cheap plastic but does the job and mates an after market deck to the factory location so that there are no gaps showing around the new head unit. It also has the middle support to attach to the rail. I didn't use it as my deck was not equipped with a middle mounting screw.
