I've read the many reviews about this product not killing weeds and/or burning good grass. After 5+ years of applying this Weed and Feed, I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Yes, I've burned my grass in places when I used more than the recommended amount. But when I've followed the application instructions precisely, I've had pretty good results. I have virtually no clover and no dandelions in my half acre yard. That didn't happen after the first year, but over a few years I think the cumulative effect has produced a pretty good yard. If I could afford to water my grass, it would look better but that gets expensive real fast. I will continue to buy this Scott's Weed and Feed on Amazon where I seem to find the best prices.

I've been buying this product for years but I was hesitant to do so this spring after reading some of the negative reviews that say it doesn't work as well as it used to and I almost went with a different brand. I decided to give Scotts one more try.Although my yard doesn't have many weeds, there were a few patches of clover and some other weeds here and there. After planning around the next rain forecast and exactly following the directions I applied it. After about a week the clover and other unidentified weeds were dead.It's been about three weeks since applying and there are absolutely no weeds in my yard, thanks to Scotts. The fertilizer is making my grass thick and lush. I have to mow every 3-4 days but I don't mind. It is choking out weeds from coming back. As long as it keeps working I will keep using Scotts.My only complaint is they will not deliver the 5,000 sq ft bags to my area because Scotts is apparently trying to weed out (pun intended) that size. Two 5,000 sq ft bags were perfect for my yard size. I ordered one single 12,000 sq ft bag this time.

This product is full proof and will do a very good job if you follow the instructions. Remember to put it on a moist or damp surface, grass that has been rained on or has do on. It works best. Also do it before you cut the grass, make certain you do not cut the grass for about four or five days after you’ve applied it also check the weather forecast so that a heavy rain or any rain won’t fall within 24 to 36 hours after application. If you do this, the weeds will disappear , the grass will turn green. The only downsize to this program is that the grass will grow thicker and more vigorously than before. Which of course means you’re going to have to cut it again and again and again.

I was having a terrible problem with a weed called Lawn Ivy. It was literally taking over my 100 ft by 50 ft backyard. At this point in the Summer it completely covered the back 1/3 of my yard and was starting to take over the rest. I applied this product and when I viewed my yard 24 hours later the Lawn Ivy had be killed BUT the worst was yet to come. Over the next few days the grass on 2/3s of my lawn also turned brown was also killed by this product.. I had used a Scott's Spread and set the dial to the setting indicated on the package. I now fear the grass won't grow back and I'll have the expense of reseeding or sod to replace grass the product destroyed and worry that the negative effect of this product may last fpr a few years.

I do not usually have good luck with chemicals and lawn health, but this time it worked out well. The grass is healthy and emerald green. The dandelions and other weeds took about a week to fade away.Considering it is one of the lesser expensive Scotts treatments, it was a good value. I just finished topping with a light compost and intend to treat the lawn with Scotts again at the end of summer. Easy to apply with a broadcast spreader.

I was looking forward to applying this weed and feed with my wheeled applicator. Unfortunately, the bag contained probably hundreds of clumps, from the size of a P to the size of a golf ball. This caused my applicator to continuously jam and made me have to slam it up and down off the ground. what should have been a pleasurable summer evening turned out to be a whole Lotta work. The bag was completely sealed from the factory so this issue must have occurred there. Scott’s has historically been the best name in the business but in this case, I would have to say they have failed.
