This is battery powered and that seemed like a good idea but it is hard to see mole repellant granule distribution since the motor is weak running on 2 AA batteries. A hand crank model may have been a better choice for this application.

My yard is too small to justify a wheeled spreader and I'm to lazy to use a manual hand held one. First use today and it works like a dream. Quickly fertilized the yard both evenly and at the correct dosage. Only downside could be that I might be tied to the Scott's brand fertilizer. We'll see in spring.

This thing works really well. I've used it to spread both seed and fertilizer and it was quick and efficient. It even has an edge setting if you don't want it to spray in a certain direction. Worthwhile purchase, but I do wonder how long it will last since it's plastic.

I’m using it for salt now for the driveway. In spring I’ll use it for fertilizer and seed. Instead of spreading by hand.
