Received several of these impellers which were to be a replacement for the Johnson 09-808B-1 impellers and at first glance it appeared they were different. After careful inspection and detailed measuring with a caliper it appears the differences may actually be an improvement. While the round ends of the impeller vanes are approximately .025 smaller, the vanes themselves on the replacements are tapered and even at the thinnest point they are approximately .010 thicker. The vanes are actually tapered from the center towards the ends of each vane making them more robust. This should result in longer life span since the major failure area we have experienced with the older version has been separation of the vanes at the center.

I purchased these for my Westerbeke 3.0 BPMG gas generator that takes the JHW-48065 impellers. The impellers and gaskets are a direct fit for this application, But, the metal spline is too large for the pump. You either have to remove material to fit the pump or remove your old pins and install into the impeller which is the approach that I took. The impellers look to be of good quality and look forward to see how they hold up over time.
