It's easy to use and costs way less than the special "H gauge" you're supposed to use to measure pump clearance.

Used it to estimate thrust washer end clearance on gear shaft. Worked well. Embedded bits of gauge material in grease, installed cover, removed & measured resulting gap. Was easily able to determine shim requirements.

I am an engine / machine rebuilder and i have ordered multiple boxes of this product through many other amazon sellers and in the picture it showed multiple stips. For the price you pay through this dealer you can buy a whole box of 12 through others here on amazon. I was displeased to only find 1 piece If this was for 1 piece it should have said in the comments section and not shown a full box in the picture either. I would not recomend this seller!!!!!!!!!

I am currently an auto tech student and this is my first look close up at a plastigage. I thought it would be more substantial but it is only a strip of paper. Order this and you get just one small strip of paper, thats it, not a box.
