These work well and are easy to use with the large ball ends. They aren't a finely crafted tool and so they may not last a very long time, but I suspect that for the number of times I'm going to use them it will be a lifetime tool.

Not the tool for the DIY'er but a good tool to have if you have a mill shop or construction related.This is a metal band tensioner crimper for binding materials together or on a pallet. There is a learning curve to this tool, knowing how much tension to use when crimping the metal clip.This is one of two tools needed. There is a tensioner that is needed as well that puts the metal band under tension before crimping the clip onto the band to hold.As for the tool, it is solid cast construction. There is little to no play in the operation of the tool. The mechanism works smoothly. The ball handles really helps when applying the pressure necessary to crimp the band to hold the tension.The price of this product is half the cost of a brand name tensioner. Good buy and work well.

Ordered this Sealer & Crimper Tool Double Notched Front Action - 3/4" Metal Banding Strapping for use at our repair shop. I work on various machines, equipment, and implements and often I am shipping out parts that have been repaired and/or equipment, or implements to customers, or back to customers.Have always used ratchet straps and anything to secure a load. I've always wanted one of these good tools as this is the proper way to secure most any heavy load, but I've never saw them in a big box store. While shopping and looking online at various parts, saw these and read about them, and they secure and crimp a 3/4" band which is what I need and ordered one. It is very well made & strong, and made out of very tough carbon steel. I like the "double crimping" design which assures me any/all the straps are tight & secure for hauling on the road/shipping. I use pallets when possible and this is perfect to strap a machine or implement on pallet to ship. It's quick and lots easier. Saves me lots of time.This pair will last me a lifetime. Happy with order

Crimper is heavy duty using steel bending head that clamps onto straps for friction crimping. Its manually actuated but handle grips does make it feel semi ergonomic albeit with quite a bit of compression force required to actuate while crimping. Tool does feel rugged using metal rods and 3/4" compatible sealing jaw which makes task of strapping feel easier to DIY. Did spot couple rust spots on its spray coating but otherwise notched compressor and axis connector does feel durably put together.

You'd expect with long handles that you'd get sufficient leverage. That's not the case. You're going to get a chest workout using these all day.You can definitely crimp steel connectors with these, but when you do you'll have to flex your pecks to bring the handles together.Also, these were already showing rust when they got here, so I don't think these will be here for very long.Not what I expected for almost $100 -- should have been at most half this price; at $100 they should have been ratcheting like my PVC cutter and other high-force tools.
