The 50 ft of blue 11mm size static rope by Seamus Outdoor is made in PRC (china). The rope does measure 11 mm thick with my vernier caliper. The 50 ft cable I received is also UIAA certified, but to a different standard than the Black Diamond rope I normally use. I do not use this rope to support human weight on a a rappel, but I do use it in rigging as a backup anchor that is further back than my main anchor. The rope looks good and feels fine, not stretching when loaded (as it should since it's static). I wish Seamus Outdoor used the european standards for rope certifcation.4 stars

I am very impressed with this rope. This is a very high-quality rope and a great allotment. I have not used it for climbing or repelling, but I would feel very comfortable hanging from it; it is very strong and durable.

Using this for some tree trimming. I'm not crazy enough to climb a tree, but it works great for controlling how the branches fall. Bright orange for safety. Wraps up nicely after use.
