This dibbler is GREAT! It is heavy duty construction and easy to use. It worked best for me in fairly moist soil. When the soil was too dry, the holes sort of filled in with loose dirt when you lifted it up. It allowed me to plant much straighter rows that just following a twine line. My peas, beans, okra, and corn are doing nicely. I definitely recommend this product.

This is a wonderful tool for planting seeds directly into garden and for keeping things straight. For smaller seeds such as basil, I just ran my finger over the high part of the 'indents' to cover the seeds and gain correct seed planting depths. This tool took so much of the work out of planting seeds and most of even the smallest seeds geminated!

This was a great little tool for when I needed definite spacing on my vegetables. You have great control over how deep you need to go. I wish they had ones with a bit of a curve so I can use in smaller pots and also a smaller version for small areas. But overall is a wonderful product!

Kudos to who came up with this idea. I use this in my garden to plant all my in ground crops. They allow me to have perfectly straight rows. The other benefit is they space the crops just right so that I can thin out the rows to allow the ground crop ( radishes, beets, carrots, etc) to grow to their full potential. The unit is made of heavy plastic so it will last for years and won't be a rusty tool in your shed. I gave it five stars because of it's being well built and easy to use.

Made easy work seed planting in my raised planter. It helped me lay out perfectly spaced rows. Quite a sturdy tool. I don't think the pictures online shows how substantial it is.

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He is very "old school" in his thinking. He went out to plant as normal and was trying to space some annuals. I told him to try this and he was amazed at how quickly it made the job get done. No measuring, everything evenly spaced. He headed to the garden next and marked out his layout. The job was done in 1/2 the time in normally takes him because he is meticulous in his plantings. It was a wonderful gift that will be used for years to come.

If the soil is not the right moister the holes do not stay. In theory, this should work but it doesn't.
