The fuse is a fail-safe that stops the electricity to the heating system when a dryer overheats. This fuse self-destructs and cannot be reset, it must be replaced when there is no continuity between the terminals. The fuse has two terminals and is sold individually. It attaches to the blower wheel housing. Blown fuses can be caused by clogged ventilation and is recommended checking to make sure all the vents clear with proper air flow when you perform this repair.

Super easy to install, fixed my dryer!If your dryer is acting normal, powers on, the sensor for the door is still in place, and you can push/rotate the barrel (with some resistance) but your dryer won’t begin a cycle, you might be dealing with a blown thermal fuse. If this sounds like you, order this piece and find a 10 minute YouTube video and you’ll have your dryer back up and running in now time!

I had an issue with the thermal fuse a few years back and when the issue appeared for my model it was identical (control panel worked, clicking but drum not spinning) so I assumed it was the same issue. Turns out it was the dryer belt and I should have opened it up first to check so ordering this part was redundant but I swapped out the old one regardless for good measure. No issue with it
