The ceramic base is exactly what I was expecting. Well vented and easy to access the garlic inside. Will look nice on the countertop, making it fast and easy to grab the garlic. I will say I was disappointed in the quality of the lid. The lid looks like it has been used, and is water stained. It is not as described in the text or graphics for the product description. Personally, I plan to keep the garlic holder in the pantry, so the looks are not as important as if I kept it on my counter like most people. The lid is the only reason I gave this product 4 stars.

My first order arrived crushed but I was sent a new one promptly. Second one arrived and I am so disappointed. It is so small that it will only hold one blub of garlic at a time.
