Wires were a tad longer than the one it replaced. Other than that it was perfect. I see no reason the extra wire would cause any issues. May have just been a manufacturer update. Item works perfectly so far. Actually the extra wire was a good thing. Made it a little easier to get to the location. Without stressing.
