My decade old Juki F400 died. I've bought and returned several different sewing machines from Amazon in the last few weeks, from mechanical to computerized. There are no dealers near me to do a test drive. So I made a decision to buy this off brand computerized machine. Surprise, surprise. This is a hidden gem of a machine. For less than $115!! Sweet. Stitches are good. Has a front loading bobbin which I really prefer (until the Juki it is the only bobbin type I had ever used in 50+ years). Needle threader. Not too loud. No clunky noise when turning on. Vertical spool posts. Needle positioning. SPEED CONTROL, never knew just how helpful that feature was. Just did a quick trial run upon receipt but will follow up in a few weeks. Let's just say, I can buy one of these every year if need be and still be better off than buying another $1000 machine.Update: Max stitch length would be too short for basting. Not an issue I hand baste. Min stitch length is extremely tiny, would probably bee good for paper piecing. Looks like the max stitch length will be my default setting. Stitch widths are good. Did an excellent blind stitch when hemming a pair of knit slacks. Balanced and even bobbin winding.

I bought this because it has some nice border stitching I wanted. I hand stitch flour sack dish towels, I wanted something for the hems to fancy them up.This machine has 200 stitches & I love it.The needle threader is a bear, but with a lot of practice it can be done. I just got a magnifier & hand threaded the needle. It is a very quiet machine, easy to use & yes, I would recommend it to anyone.The plastic bobbin cover is hard to buy a replacement for. I'm still having problems finding one. The suggested ones don't fit.Other than that, yes, buy it, it's a very nice machine.

Item arrived non functioning. Reviewed the manual for trouble shooting but I could not get the machine to stitch or load the bobbin. I suspect it was a defective foot pedal since the machine tuned on but it would never operate. Personally, I'm not interested in dealing with them since at this price point you can get reputable names with better support. Item arrived with two manuals, one of which had terrible English and had steps out of order. The 2nd manual was much more in depth and "helpful" but I can see how this would trip a beginner up. Overall, cannot recommend.

I bought this machine to replace a 30 year old Kenmore that just didn’t want to stitch anymore. My wife got it up and working in no time. It had a lot of different stitches but she tends to only use 3-4 of them.

Es una máquina muy funcional, tiene varias puntadas y en todas salen como debe de ser. La he comprado varias veces ya que toda familia quiere esta máquina.

Con un poco de desconfianza adquirà esta maquina Uten, porque soy fiel a la marca Singer. Después de comparar ambas marcas (singer-Uten) me decidà por Uten, me he llevado una sorpresa agradable, al ver lo bien que cose, todas sus puntadas, no es ruidosa y está muy bien sincronizada, lo que dicen que revienta el hilo, qué rompe las agujas o que se enreda la bobina, al menos en mi caso no es cierto, es una muy buena maquina y trabaja muy bien, hasta este momento. El único pero que le pondrÃa, es que el material del qué está hecha, me refiero al plástico duro que le da forma se ve de mala calidad al compararlo con la Singer qué aun conservo. Por lo demás la recomiendo ampliamente.

Por desgracia es una maquina muy frágil el ensartado dejo de funcionar y de buenas a primera la bobina se sale de su espacio para hacer el ojal es todo un drama. Me gustó mucho al principio sin embargo su uso en vida es muy corto
