This was my first sewing machine, going from my mothers vintage vx-857. Very easy to use and figure out. Super light so i can move it around the house with ease. The stitch patterns are beautiful and come out great!Absolutely love the ease of setting up the bobbin.I see it hanging around for many years to come!

I like this sewing machine. It's very beginner-friendly—and I'm a real beginner, and if I can muddle along, so can you! I hadn't touched a sewing machine since middle school, and I was never very good to begin with, but after a lot of trial and error, I've been doing the basics. It took a bunch of tries to figure out how to thread the machine, but it's not that hard. When I mess up, I can usually see where I've gone wrong and correct my mistake. Now I can hem things, so it's saving me a lot of money. No need to go to the tailor for basic hemming. Definitely recommend for the average lay person who's a little handy and wants to make basic alterations.

Ok.. so it took me a year to get the nerve up to use this... I've been using my mother's old machine from the 80's! It would jamb and knot... so I was afraid to try again... but I had to hem my daughter's Prom dress! This machine is AMAZING! Smooth like butter and so easy to use!! Highly recommend.. for beginners or for experienced seamstress. Now I'm excited to try all the other stitches and fun things it came with!!

Bought this sewing machine in april, stil works good.About machine:Yes it's plastic, so it is not heavy. You can sew Light fabrics with no problem, but I think it wouldn't allow you to sew jeans (it is only my opinion)This machine works quite silent, I sew sometimes at night when everybody are sleeping.It is easy to use, looks nice.

Love the machine! Easy to use and works great.Only concern/ suggestion would be to change the design of the white font on the light blue background as it is difficult to see the stitches/information
