  • Powerful Pickup - The Invader transforms your guitar into a heavy-sounding beast, enhancing its DNA with specially overwound coils and three large ceramic magnets.
  • Rich and Massive Sound - The Invader's unique oversized metal oxide pole pieces expand the magnetic field and widen the frequency spectrum, delivering a rich, massive sound with every note.
  • Deep Low-End Response - The Invader pickup offers the deepest low-end response of any passive pickup, providing subsonic chords with lower tunings, balanced with crunchy treble for well-defined sound.
  • Warm and Smooth Humbucker - Despite its intimidating looks, the Invader humbucker pickup is surprisingly warm and smooth, yielding a thick crunch and moaning sustain.
  • Made in the USA - Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Invader uses three large ceramic magnets, and its striking, oversized metal oxide pole pieces, for rich and massive tone.

Built for the Heaviest of Heavy Tones No matter how meek your guitar sounds with its stock pickups, the Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker will transform it into a high-octane riff machine. This high-output humbucker contains a mixture of hot overwound coils and girthy ceramic magnets, churning out scorching tones with plenty of depth and articulation. Meanwhile, oversized metal-oxide pole pieces produce an expansive magnetic field and an extra-wide frequency range, giving rise to massively thick sounds with a near-subsonic low-end response — especially in down-tuned scenarios. That said, Sweetwater guitarists also hold high regard for the crunchy treble of this pickup, which ensures a well-defined sound, no matter how deep you dare to plunge. Furthermore, the Invader humbucker houses a nickel-silver bottom plate, along with 4-conductor wiring for added flexibility and vacuum wax potting for microphonic-free operation. Metal-minded guitarists searching for a passive humbucker with an intimidating attitude will find

Took about 20 mins total to solder the pickups into place after finding the proper diagram on Seymour Duncan's website. Amazing sound and I'd recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their guitar.

I started with the neck pickup in the bridge position (which is the same way the Tom Delonge guitar is set up) but I liked it so much that I got this bridge humbucker to complete the guitar. It sounds great!

Added to my Annihilator replica guitar the Seymour Duncan SH-8B Invader Humbucker is a powerhouse bridge pickup! With its high output and aggressive tone, it delivers incredible depth and clarity, perfect for heavy rock and metal styles. A must-have upgrade for any guitarist seeking bold, dynamic sound!

Installed on a Epiphone Junior. After much research, I found these sound, by ear, as good as actives. Highly recommend: turned my $150 sounding guitar to a $500 sounding one.

Back in 1988 I had a Fender Strat custom built to my specs and one of the main requests was take out that terrible Fender stock pickup and put in a Duncan Invader. Just one at the bridge. That was all I need. I have used numerous humbuckers since and nothing has ever made me feel the way I did about that Invader. Its sound is heavy/clean/sweet to the ear. The fact it has such low noise makes it perfect with out using a gate during recording. I still use a gate but not because of any noise. If you have not tried an Invader I suggest you do. You can't go wrong.

This is an excellent pickup. Along with the SD neck pickup I installed, my Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro IV now sound as good or maybe better than my much higher-priced Gibson. Highly recommended!

If you play any kind of chuggy or just aggressive styles of music, you need to try this out. I wouldn't say it's my favorite sounding pickup, but dang does it deliver. Not the most versatile pickup though. Although it did get some nice blues, jazz, funk, etc. tone out of it with the right EQ and effects.

simple to install, even though the instructions are a little misleading, and fits pretty well into my les paul replica. does the job well, doesnt squeal and feedback like cheap stock pickups, and has a perfect sound for drop tuned, overdriven songs. have been used thoroughly since purchase and not a problem since. teams well with power slinky ernie balls in drop c to drop b flat.get these, and youre basically alan ashby already.
