Great set if you need all these parts. Much better than the 6" turnbuckles which are too small for a big sunshade sail. You need big, sturdier hardware the bigger the sail.

It has about all you could need to put a tarp or shade in place. Could use some cable clamps to clean up some loose ends. The only issue is shipping was a bit slow

very sturdy. I tried for months to keep my solar shade aloft but winds ripped the hardware out of the soffits and walls. This did the trick

Over all, the hardware is nice and sturdy. The wire rope is certainly strong enough for the job. But they crimped both ends with ferrules, rather than providing ferrules that weren't already crimped. So you have (4) 12' wire ropes, pre-crimped at both ends, and there's no easy way to make them shorter without going out and buying ferrules. I couldn't find the right size, so I used the rope that came with the shade sail as a temporary measure, and the sturdy wire ropes and turnbuckles from this kit are sitting on a shelf. Not worth the money when you have to chase down hardware that ought to be included in a kit.

Does not tell you that if using square post like a 4x4 that you must position that post at an angle so the ratchet tensioner placed on flat surface of post is actually facing the corner. for instance i had the ratchet tensioner on the flat side of upper rafter of barn, which is flat and facing out straight. so my installer had to cut a 2x4 with angle ends to put on a diagonal to re-mount the ratchet tensioner so it would be facing the corner of the shade sail. I could not put the ratchet tensioner on the 4x4 posts because they are now concreted in the ground and could not be turned. I had to get more posts and concrete, actually got round posts this time ,even though in a few of the photos of the shade sail and equipment it shows flat surfaces. have to pay some one to dig two more holes, several bags of concrete each hole and wait days for it to set properly. then have installer back out to re-hang. These instructions on both this installation equipment and the shade sail itself are not explicit. they are for people using round metal poles and using the straight tensioner that you hand twist - not the ratchet tensioner! Cable very thin, too thin for a 24x24. Started to fray and break in less than 1week. See photo
