Insert the tip of the seal puller behind the oil or grease seal, then press and pull. The leverage provided by the tool makes the process easy and efficient.

Not sure if it was me, the seal I was trying to remove or what... could not make this work no matter which way I tried to use it. I went to harbor freight and bought their cheapest puller and it worked perfectly first try. This might be a good tool, but it did NOT work at all on the front seal of a Mercedes OM642 no matter how I adjusted it. So, read other's comments and their applications, it may just have been the wrong tool for this application. Appreciate that Amazon provided a quick refund/return.

Tips are too thin. They broke off long before the seal moved.

I bought to remove cam and crank seals on my Miata. It pulled the first cam seal without an issue. On the second, both puller ends broke and one piece was left between the seal and camshaft. Luckily it caused no significant damage. I should've bought a more quality tool. Buyer Beware!

I tried to use it and it broke, quality was poor. I should have returned it but my husband didn’t tell me until now 🙃
