Although the hinge pins and barrels seemed to have a lot of slop and play, I was careful to address that by pulling the pintle side taught during installation, and when the hanging of the doors (75 pounds each) was complete, the hinges functioned smoothly and properly. I used 2" long polymer-coated screws instead of the shorter, black-painted screws in the kit, since my doors were pretty heavy. The pin stops for the top and bottom of the secondary door were easy to install, and I used a 7/16" paddle bit to make the bore for the main T-handle latch pin. Overall, a great looking set, and I'm quite pleased with the function of the associated parts, since I had concerns due to the weight of my doors, but not problems whatsoever.

I could have never purchased these at Home Depot for this price! These are heavy , nice quality, and look great!

I'm extremely happy with these. Everything seems to be high quality. I installed this kit on my shed about 5 months ago and had no issues. Based on my experience so far I would say these are a great value. I'm using 3 hinges per door on 36" x 72" doors made out of 2x4s and LP smartside sheeting and the hinges work great. I used longer screw to mount the hinges to the door jamb but that was just my preference, not a knock against this kit.

The bushings crumbled after only 6 months and now the doors drag on the floor. Also rust developed at the pins. Very disappointing.

This is a fine hardware kit. It works well and the quality is acceptable. I used it for three doors with two straps each and couldn't be happier. Good price. Good kit. Good value. Would buy again.

Was initially unsure if this would hold our heavy "Barn/Garage doors" that my better half built from our own trees that we milled/ dried etc. Very heavy. So far so good. Doors are on, have not moved and did not kill anyone as the Hinges were attached last week end.It looks great - seems to hold the weight well! Thanks Great!

My overhead garage door was very old and starting to deteriorate, when you tried to open the door it would twist which caused one of the windows to break. I built new doors but rather than having an overhead door I built carriage style doors and used this hardware which worked great and the person whose opinion means the most (my wife) gave her seal of approval. I would highly recommend this kit, it worked great for me.

This kit is the BEST! Bought it for a shed I built and the 1940's doors matched up with these hinges like a ham, swiss and rye!!
