I bought these handles for the doors of the shed I'm building. The are no instructions so I hung the doors first and looked at how the dot fit against the jam. I realized that I need to add a piece to the door trim on the inside and trim the jam so the locking mechanism could swing shut. After that, installation was simple and the handles work well.

I had to replace one that was broken, from another manufacturer, and I found this a great replacement and would probably be good for an initial install as well. Took no more than five minutes to install it in the convenience of having both keyed the same was certainly an advantage

We got these to use on our shed. Couldn't find any at the hardware stores. Like The Wider locking bar. We were under able to get it key with that we lost made for the current lock. These were cheaper and better then having a key made

The product is good and easy to install, but this will not fit on a 4-1/2" door as described. I needed to shave my 4-1/4" shed door to give the D-handle lock screw enough surface area on the handle shaft.
