I needed to tidy up one of our dogs who had, for various reasons, gotten her half Husky/half Chow coat extremely matted... I'm not exaggerating, she was REALLY matted (sleeping half in and out of her drinking bowl will do that). I'd tried cleaning using some pretty decent clippers that I already owned but they would even make a dent. Not a hope in hell. I then tried with a new set of clippers that made big deal of them being 'heavy duty' etc. for dogs with heavy coats. Same story. It's not like they weren't good, but they were just not heavy duty enough!I came across these almost by accident, but I thought I'd try them and wow - when I opened the case I thought this has got to be it! They looked awesome and simply exuded quality. Very well made indeed and for a great price. Came in a nice case along with a comprehensive assortment of accessories for care and cleaning. Also came with an extremely long lead (no more trying to find an extension cord to plug in with when you need to do some trimming) which I greatly appreciated.I figured well, if these can't do the job, I'd better give up. Verdict? They worked great. Took a bit of getting used to... I have no prior experience trimming sheep, to be fair, but I got the hang of it. And if I ever need to give an Alpaca or a Clydesdale a trim, I'm already set to go!Highly recommended.

We used these to shear 2 alpaca, which non of us had done. They worked great! We switched blades between the two but don’t think it was really necessary. The white one had been abandoned and had thick matted dreads, these clippers made fast work of it all, never overheated, and stayed sharp as expected!

Every dog groomer within 50 miles of us was completely booked and not taking new clients. Our golden retriever/Labrador/poodle/Vizsla mix really needed a trim before we started hitting the Triple digit temperatures! So in a last ditch effort to keep him safe and comfortable we purchased these. They were super easy to use, didn’t freak the dog out at all, and trimmed him down really well! Obviously they aren’t meant for detail work! We eventually did get into a professional groomer to make him look a little more presentable, but at least he wasn’t running around in his winter coat in the Kansas summer!

These work very well. They do get a bit hot after heavy use, but it’s not anything unreasonable. Just give them a period rest for a couple minutes and you’re ready to go again. They are very sharp so make sure you are careful and wear long sleeves when using.

After a disastrous attempt by a club member to clip one of our show lambs with a small set of clippers, we ordered these. The price point gave me leave to question the durability, but I needed these in a hurry. Do Not Hesitate!!!These cut through extremely thick wool like butter! They are loud and single speed, but you’ll be done so quickly that it won’t even matter. Excellent control and cutting edge that leaves just enough hair coat. We followed up with our trusty Oster Steward and cleaned up the lines (these are shears, so it isn’t a perfect finish, but close) PERFECT!A bit too bulky and heavy for use by smaller hands (I.e. 4Hers), but they’re aggressive enough that you’d be taking a risk letting the kids use them anyway. We did the heavy lifting and let them clean up the rest! These ran cool through our two lambs, pausing to spray and oil here and there. They easily would have kept right on going for several more. If they cut only those two that well and quickly once, they’d be worth the price. The quality appears to be excellent and I’ve no doubt we will be able to use them for years. 10/10 recommend!

I returned this product as soon as I could after it failed 1/4 of the way through a shearing job and caused avoidable stress on my alpacas-had the shears/blades worked as expected. These are alpacas who are shorn annually and don't have blankets which are dramatically thick, either. I am a reasonable, easy going person. So easy going, in fact I hardly review products because stuff just doesn't get under my skin like this did. I wanted them to work, read reviews and ordered - happy to be shearing our two alpacas for the summer season. The blades were never, "like butter" which is what i have seen happen before on alpacas and lambs.. But just a few minutes in- scissors would have been an upgraded substitute. Frantic to get through, we found and borrowed new shears and blades - and boom...back in business. I want to like the shears, I wished they had worked, but I NEVER want to put my animals through that again, ( you have to tie and lay alpacas flat - its stressful even when it is smooth, so this situation was not acceptable.) and want others to know that piece.

Use this for show sheep so far no complaints. Seems to be well built and tough it gets passed around during show prep to several different people and still no problem.

Like that it did it’s job in cutting well, except noise and vibration let’s loose clipping blades & screws! And have too STOP to retighten it! Clippers can get Hot and can’t hold it for too long to continue? Don’t know if I will be able to keep it? If I can’t figure out to eliminate this problem? This product will be returned & replace with another…

Works wonders.Packaging is great. Comes in a box that can be carried like a tool box.Blades are very sharp.Got an extra set in the box.Sheared about 9 sheep and the process was very smooth. The rotation is fast even at level 1 so be very cautious.

Very good shipping despite the pandemic. The packaging is very sturdy and storage friendly and I liked that they came with an extra blade and oil included to. The shears worked well and took less time. Blades are very sharp so sheared our sheep like a hot knife through butter. I would recommend investing in some cooling spray to prevent the body of the shears from getting very hot. We sprayed about every 5 minutes and lubricated the blades and took small breaks in between shearing so shears never got extremely hot! It was easy to manoeuvre and most importantly the noise didn’t scare the flock. Very good item for very good price.

I knew these were cheaper than my old ones, and I worried about the quality. My old ones packed in after a hard life (probably due to me being the world's slowest shearer) but I'm happy with these and they seem good value for money. I had them working for over an hour and they stayed cool. They cut through the mankiest of wool with ease, even the dangleberries on my old ewe which had fused to a felted hell. They were a bit on the chunky and heavy side, especially for small hands, and I was a bit wary trying to keep hold of them when they were oily, I wasn't quite so confident with them due to the weight, but I just went even slower 😳. Pleased to report no cuts/ red marks, and the design seems good in terms of nick prevention, and the sheep seemed pleased with the end result.

Product was shipped quickly but I haven’t got to use them yet. Straight out of the box they look good and seem like they will be suitable for my 6 sheep. Will update my review if needed.
